托德·喬伊斯寄給鄭偉勇的紀念品有：印有“杜立特轟炸者協(xié)會”徽章的T恤衫、茶杯、飲料瓶護套、布制胸章和紀念杜立特行動69周年的紀念章、郵票等。其中在一本1988年初版的《杜立特轟擊》和一幅反映杜立特行動的油畫印刷品上，有目前仍在世的5名杜立特行動成員的簽名，他們是：一號機副駕駛員理查德·E·科爾、七號機機械師兼機槍手大衛(wèi)·J·撒切爾、九號機領(lǐng)航員托馬斯·卡森·格里芬、十五號機機械師兼投彈手愛德華·約瑟夫·塞勒、十六號機副駕駛員羅伯特·L·海特。

托德·喬伊斯在信中對鄭偉勇為了尋找杜立特行動者降落地點所做的努力與工作表示感謝。

參與1942年轟炸東京的杜立特行動有16架飛機、80名機組成員。有一架轟炸機誤飛到蘇聯(lián)符拉迪沃斯克迫降，其它15架轟炸機轟炸東京后均飛到中國東南部上空后墜毀。機上的75名飛行員，在黑夜中迫降、棄機跳傘，全部降落在中國的浙江、安徽、江西、福建等剩64名飛行員被中國百姓營救，有51人集中在位于衢州的'空軍航空第十三總站，1人跳傘時未離開飛機被摔死而葬在衢州。

多年來，我市歷史研究愛好者鄭偉勇一直在搜集研究轟炸東京的16架飛機的墜毀點、80名飛行員的墜落點以及所有參與營救美國飛行員的中國民眾名單，并已經(jīng)寫了10多萬字的紀實報告初稿。

鄭偉勇曾與2015年1月剛?cè)ナ赖耐�廉·鮑爾機長和2010年9月去世的查爾斯·奧扎克領(lǐng)航員等通信聯(lián)系過，以確定參與營救的中國民眾等歷史細節(jié)。他還多次把采訪搜集研究的成果公布在美國“杜立特轟炸者協(xié)會”官方網(wǎng)站上。所以，許多杜立特行動成員的子女均與鄭偉勇有聯(lián)系。今年年初他即收到查爾斯·奧扎克的女兒蘇珊·奧扎克的感謝信。此次鄭偉勇收到的禮物主要是美國紀念杜立特行動69年周年的紀念品。
