Now they make the plan to send three students to study in Korea.

　　The three students contain different levels. They lived with different roomates. The first day they met the big problem of waking up. They needed to get up at 6 o’clock, while in Britain they had class in 9 o’clock. When they struggled to sit in the classroom, the teacher tested their level. The foreign student with highest level felt hard to answer the question, while for most Korean students, they felt it was so easy.

　　1、時(shí)態(tài)誤用

　　不少同學(xué)寫作時(shí)過于匆忙，還沒弄清文章的主體時(shí)態(tài)就下筆，導(dǎo)致時(shí)態(tài)誤用，造成失分。面對(duì)不同的作文題材，我們應(yīng)運(yùn)用合適的時(shí)態(tài)。

　　例如，一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)多用于描述事物的特性、用途或介紹某地的地理位置，人口等;一般過去時(shí)則多用于介紹人物生平經(jīng)歷、已經(jīng)開展的調(diào)查、報(bào)告等;而一般將來時(shí)多用于尚未發(fā)生但準(zhǔn)備開展的比賽或通知等。

　　2、缺乏“詞匯美”

　　高級(jí)詞匯使用恰當(dāng)能把作文提升一個(gè)檔次。作文中的高級(jí)詞匯主要體現(xiàn)在動(dòng)詞和形容詞的運(yùn)用。

　　同學(xué)在平日可以對(duì)詞義相近的單詞進(jìn)行歸納總結(jié)，例如， complete，fulfill，accomplish，achieve，四者都代表“完成”意思。寫作文時(shí)，只需把簡單詞匯換成高級(jí)詞匯就能讓作文華麗“大變身”。

　　3、丟失“銜接美”

　　我們一般會(huì)在句首或句中增添一些連接詞，使得上下文通順連貫。當(dāng)我們說起連接詞時(shí)，相信大部分同學(xué)首先想到but，because，so這類簡單連詞。但在改卷過程中，老師更欣賞使用如on the contrary ，as the result of，owing to的連接短語。

　　其實(shí)這類連詞或短語大家都背過不少，可是寫作文時(shí)總忘記學(xué)以致用，把學(xué)過的連接詞都忘記得一干二凈。

　　4、忘記“句式美”

　　有的同學(xué)缺乏句型積累，所以通篇運(yùn)用簡單陳述句，句式平淡無味，很難吸引老師眼球。反之，如果同學(xué)們能適當(dāng)運(yùn)用復(fù)合句、強(qiáng)調(diào)句型、非謂語動(dòng)詞，或with的復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)。文章的句式就會(huì)多變，內(nèi)容描述會(huì)生動(dòng)起來，分?jǐn)?shù)也隨之提高。

　　例如：This book was so interesting that I read it again and again.

　　這本書是如此的有趣，以致我讀了一遍又一遍。

　　這是簡單的so…that句型的句子，如果把句型換成：

　　So interesting was this book that I read it again and again.

　　該句從一般陳述句改成倒裝句，會(huì)讓老師眼前一亮。

　　When prescriptions for post-heart-attack care got refilled and the same drugs suddenly came in different shapes or colors, patients were significantly more likely to stop taking their meds.

　　That's the finding from a study involving more than 11,000 patients that appears in the Annals of Internal Medicine.

　　Even when different looking pills contained the exact same active ingredient, a change in color boosted the odds that patients would stop taking their heart medication by 34 percent.

　　A change in shape jumped the chance that patients would cease their meds by 66 percent.

　　There's no legal requirement to make generic and brand-name drugs appear alike.

　　But the study's authors say that the Food and Drug Administration should consider making consistent appearance the standard, as such uniformity would likely result in more patients adhering to their medication regimens.

　　For now, we're all stuck reading pharmaceutical labels.

　　my dream When I was a little girl, I had a dream to be a famous writer.

　　I remembered that I made a big decision to realize my dream that I started my first writing of a novel. I was a skinny little school-girl with glasses who dreamt up characters with qualities I longed to embody – they were pretty and powerful and lived lives full of intrigue and drama. After I finished high school, although that story like most of my writings ended up unfinished and stayed in the bottom of my desk drawers, I enjoyed and made fun of my writings when I read them later. Now I am a college student majored in engineering who studies science and math everyday. In the mean time, I am trying to bring my first book to an end. I have been always thinking why we couldn’t take our dreams into our own hands. I would encourage everybody to find ways to live their dreams, whether on a small scale – like my writing of a novel – or a bigger scale, like going after a job we have always wanted. I am living with part of my little passion, in my own way.
