Life in the University
Life in the university is not as satisfactory as what we had expected. First of all, we are tightly bound by continual classes, excessive homework and exams; some students complain that we are becoming “exam machines”. Secondly, the teaching method is boring; instead of lecturing. Some teachers just “read” lessons. Finally, living conditions need to be improved; and food in the dining瞙all is far from being attractive and tasteful.
In spite of all these adversities we still enjoy our life in the university. During the four瞴ear university study, we cannot only acquire a lot of book learning, but also various activities, such as speech contests. Different social gatherings and dancing parties can provide opportunities to make friends; many of these friendships may last a long time.
In short, we should value our life in the university. Four years is only a short period when compared with our whole lifetime. In the university we become mature, and we prepare ourselves for the real world, although there is something unsatisfying, the four years in the university is a worthwhile period in our whole lifetime.

As we know, many people favor theidea that the college life is free and comfortable, but I’d like to say it’snot true. As a matter of fact, my life in university is so busy that I wonderif my energy is enough. As to my college life, I divide it into four parts,including study, student activities, library and the others.
我們知道，很多人認(rèn)為大學(xué)生活是自由、舒適的，但我想說這不是真的。事實(shí)上，我的大學(xué)生活是如此的忙碌，以至于我都不知道我的能量是否足夠。至于我的大學(xué)生活，我把它分為四個(gè)部分，包括學(xué)習(xí)，學(xué)生活動(dòng)，圖書館和其他的。
Firstly, I want to talk about thestudy. In my opinion, study is the priority in college. When I received theletter of admission in summer, I knew clearly that what I should do. So I makeup my mind to study hard and pursue learning as much as possible. I’m greatlyconvinced that knowledge can change my life. Therefore, I often go to the quietstudy room where many people study there. By working so hard, I get good gradesin the exams.
首先，我想談?wù)剬W(xué)習(xí)。在我看來，學(xué)習(xí)是大學(xué)該優(yōu)先考慮的。當(dāng)我在夏天收到錄取通知書時(shí)，我就清楚地知道我應(yīng)該做什么。所以我下定決心努力學(xué)習(xí)，盡可能多的追求學(xué)問。我非常相信知識(shí)可以改變我的生活。因此，我常常去安靜的自習(xí)室學(xué)習(xí)，有很多人在那里學(xué)習(xí)。通過努力學(xué)校，我在考試中取得了好成績。
Secondly, student activities playan important role in our college life. To be honest, the student Union is agood place where one can develop social skills, get his abilities trained. Itake part in many student activities. For example, I’ m a volunteer, teachingthe kids to learn to dance and write. I think it’s meaningful for everyone togive a hand to others. I can also do some jobs in the Student Union, includingreceiving and sending fast mail, selling papers and magazines. I think they’re unforgettableand worthwhile experiences for me.
其次，在我們的大學(xué)生活中學(xué)生活動(dòng)中起了重要的作用。老實(shí)說，學(xué)生會(huì)是一個(gè)很好的地方，一個(gè)可以培養(yǎng)社會(huì)技能的地方，一個(gè)訓(xùn)練自己能力的地方。我參加了許多學(xué)生活動(dòng)。例如，我是一個(gè)志愿者，教孩子們學(xué)習(xí)舞蹈和寫作。我認(rèn)為幫助別人是有意義的。我還可以在學(xué)生會(huì)中做一些工作，包括接收和發(fā)送快速電子郵件，賣報(bào)紙和雜志。我覺得他們是我難忘的、有價(jià)值的經(jīng)驗(yàn)。
Thirdly, I also visit the libraryconstantly. It’s said that “shelves of books, oceans of knowledge”, so I readbooks that I’m interested in. In this way, I can share stories with my new friendsand it also changes my horizons .When I’m sad, lost or in trouble, staying thelibrary makes me quiet and comfortable. After all, every life has bad momentsas well as good ones, and the library for me is a support in bad moments. So it’s wise choice for me to stay in thelibrary.
第三，我經(jīng)常去圖書館。據(jù)說“書架上的.書，知識(shí)的海洋，所以我閱讀我感興趣的書。這樣，我可以和我的新朋友分享故事，也改變了我的視野。在我難過，迷失或陷入困境的時(shí)候，呆在圖書館能讓我感到安靜和舒適。畢竟，每個(gè)人的生活都有不好和好的時(shí)候，圖書館對我來說也是心情不好時(shí)的一種支撐。所以對我來說呆在圖書館是明智的選擇。
Finally, I often do other thingsin my spare time. In order to alleviate parents’ burden, I often do somepart-time jobs and write some articles to earn money. It helps me to beindependent and improve my social skills.
最后，我經(jīng)常在空余時(shí)間做一些其他的事情。為了減輕父母的負(fù)擔(dān)，我經(jīng)常做一些兼職工作，寫一些文章來賺錢。它幫助我變得獨(dú)立，改善我的社交能力。
In short, mylife in university is busy but valuable. You can see that study brings me knowledge,student activities improve myself, library changes my horizons, the othersthings make me independent. They get all my abilities trained. And I see thatthe chance will come only if you have a prepared mind, so I’m sure that I canachieve my dreams in college life.
總之，我的大學(xué)生活是忙碌而有價(jià)值的。你可以看到學(xué)習(xí)帶給我知識(shí)，學(xué)生活動(dòng)提升我自己，圖書館改變了我的視野，其他的事情讓我變得獨(dú)立。它們讓我所有的能力得到訓(xùn)練。我看到機(jī)會(huì)只會(huì)留給有準(zhǔn)備的人，所以我相信在大學(xué)生活中我能實(shí)現(xiàn)我的夢想。

The first time I entered the campus as a freshman, I was deeply attracted by her cultural atmosphere and historical connotation. Fudan is a graceful lady who is accustomed to serenity but meanwhile each action of hers outpours her innermost tern perament. Apparently it is worth every effort to probe into her world for the sake of both physical and mental enrichment. Her humanistic spirit inspires me to care for everything around, even the most trivial one.
