Stick to your dream and you will get something
The book "The Greatest Salesman in the World" shocked me most. It is the words on the title page of the book: I dedicate this book to all people who seek the value of life.
What is the purpose of work, where does the motivation come from, and what forces keep us going? Is value, is to seek our own value!
Everyone's work and life will not be smooth sailing, no setbacks. No one can easily succeed in his career. Every successful person will experience many hardships, many pains, many setbacks, and at the same time persist in his dream, only in the end can he achieve something. So-called; how can we see a rainbow without going through the storm?
Man is born to be rich. If you want to achieve something in your limited life, you must cherish your present job, cherish every day in front of you, and everyone should face life with gratitude, people, things and feel the beauty of life. I believe that every effort is bound to be rewarded.
The greatest salesman in the world tells me that greatness is the result of pursuit and persistence. Three minutes of heat can't make a career. There's no easy success. Only the dream that dares to hold fast. Although difficult, but perseverance is victory, keep clouds open and see the moon!
People should have dreams when they are alive. Dreams are not empty and empty. The other end of dreams is their own point of belonging. In the journey to realize the dream, the value gradually appears. Be able to follow your dreams step by step, even if others see failure, will have a clear conscience. Success has no final conclusion. To realize one's life value is success.
Finally, I want to send you a sentence in the second scroll of sheepskin: "I will greet today with love from all my heart."
Love is power, love is source and passion. Only by loving our work, our family and our colleagues can we face our work positively and face everyone enthusiastically. Even if we encounter unhappy things, we can accept it happily, because only by accepting, can we really face it. Only in the face can we change, only in the face of change can we make a breakthrough.
Thank you.

There is a man blind from childhood, sensible, he was deeply troubled by this, that God punished him, feel this life is over
Later, a teacher said to him, "everyone in the world is an apple bitten by God. All of them are flawed. Some people have a big defect because God likes his fragrance very much"
He's inspired from the blindness as God's special love, began to cheer up. Several years later, the local read a German double Xin Massage by a visually-impaired Therapist division of the story.
God knows the story and laughs, "I like this beautiful and clever metaphor, but I have to say a little bit about it. What is called a defect is physical
Tell people this story, you ugly is not because of your past mistakes and punished, on the contrary, you are God's favorite people, don't upset because some regret you, today you may not be outstanding, maybe tomorrow, you are a beautiful rainbow! So, there is no appearance of beauty and ugliness. Those people just personal opinion just can truly determine your beautiful and ugly person, should be your own. As long as confident of his own, and a good heart. You have no reason, not the most beautiful, at least, you are the most perfect themselves.

If the Dream is Big Enough
I used to watch her from my kitchen window, she seemed so small as she muscled her way through the crowd of boys on the playground. The school was across the street from our home and I would often watch the kids as they play edduring recess. A sea of children, and yet to me, she stood out from them all.
I remember the first day I saw her playing basketball. I watched in wonder as she ran circles around the other kids. She managed to shoot jump shots just over their heads and into the net. The boys always tried to stop her but no one could. I began to notice her at other times, basketball in hand, playing would practice dribbling and shooting over and over again, sometimes until dark.
One day I asked her why she practiced so much. She looked directly in my eyes and without a moment of hesitation she said, “I want to go to college. The only way I can go is if I get a scholarship. I like basketball. I decided that if I were good enough, I would get a scholarship. I am going to play college basketball.I want to be the best. My Daddy told me if the dream is big enough, the factsdon't count.”
Then she smiled and ran towards the court to recap the routine I had seen over and over again. Well, I had to give it to her—she was determined.I watched her through those junior high years and into high school. Every week, she led her varsity team to victory.
One day in her senior year, I saw her sitting in the grass, head cradled in her arms. I walked across the street and sat down in the cool grass beside her. Quietly I asked what was wrong. “Oh,nothing,” came a soft reply. “I am just too short.” The coach told her that at 5’5” she would probably never get to play for a top ranked team— much less offered a scholarship—so she should stop dreaming about college. She was heartbroken and I felt my own throat tighten as I sensed her disappointment. I asked her if she had talked to her dad about it yet.
She lifted her head from her hands and told me that her father said those coaches were wrong. They just did not understand the power of adream. He told her that if she really wanted to play for a good college, if she truly wanted a scholarship, that nothing could stop her except one thing — her own attitude. He told her again, “If the dream is big enough, the factsdon't count.”
The next year, as she and her team went to the Northern CaliforniaChampionship game, she was seen by a college recruiter. She was indeed offered a scholarship, a full ride, to a Division 1, NCwomen's basketball team. She was going to get the college education that she had dreamed of and worked toward for all those years.
It's true: If the dream is big enough, the facts don't count.
Good afternoon, ladies and issue of the Yellow River hasbecome the biggest concern of members of the Chinese peoples PoliticalConsultative childhood, in fact, is closely associated with father is an engineering geologist, and he used to take me with him onhis trips to the hydropower stations on the river.I enjoyed those trips, especially the trip to Longyang Xia ough ten years have passedsince my visit, I can still recall the scenery; I can still recall the water Isaw at the was pure, clean and blue, not like the water I saw inthe middle reaches of the river, which had turned brown and muddy after passingthrough the Loess Plateau.
Once during our stay at the power station, we were caught in when rain stopped, I could see trickles of water rolling downmountain slopes and flowing into the carried little mud or sand, because at that time, trees and grass still grew around the theyprotected the Longyang Xia I was struck by the beauty of nature, and asa child I wanted to stay there and to grow up with our Yellow River.
Li Bai, the Tang Dynasty poet, said praises to the flowing water in theYellow saw it as coming down from heaven and nurturing the peoplealong her way to the ver, in 1997,for 330days, not a single drop ofwater from the Yellow River went into the droughts are not the onlypunishment by nature.A friend of my father's, a university professor, is doingresearch on the Yellow rding to this professor, the Yellow River willsoon change its course if we allow this situation to use there isno longer enough water to carry away the silt and mud in the lower reaches ofthe river and the riverbed rises higher and higher each year.
We have taken too much from nature, but given back too little in this is the cost of the unbalanced we had taken care of thevegetation in the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River, we would stillexperience the river as Li Bai described it.
While the developed countries are consuming proportionally more naturalresources than the rest of the world, they've also taken some good measures inprotecting as a developing country, China can learn from them inthis aspect.
Last year, when I was visiting Australia with a group of Chinese studentswho had won prizes in an English Skills Test, our Australian hosts invited us tojoin them for a horse-ride in the r two hours on horseback, wereached a valley, where there was a most beautiful meadow, with flowers in allcolors dotted on a huge blanket of I began to praise the beauty ofnature, my friends told me that in this valley, there used to be a big mine andthe wastewater from the mine turned everything the mine wasabandoned, people made great efforts to restore the green alsoused the latest biological technology choosing the best grass seeds suitable forthe local the beautiful meadow is a result of commitment, hard work, and new technology.
What happened to this valley in Australia should also happen to our YellowRiver and, in fact, it is happening.I have seen farmers planting trees onmountains along the Yellow River.I have seen them climb the mountain tops withseedlings on their shoulders because they had no machinery.I have seen thempour on trees the water they had carried up in buckets from miles down e farmers are quietly nourishing our Yellow River, just as the riverhas nourished them.
And these farmers, men and women I don't know, gave me the confidence thatwe and our Yellow River will grow together, and someday in the future, we willbe able to drink the clean water from our Yellow River again, because she is ourdearest mother.
Thank you.

The Art of Being You
These are challenging times when we lose faith in the world and even in ourselves. Most of us think that we are in control of our lives or destiny1, but it is not always like that. It is time for us to look inward and find our inner power.
We truly have everything in our lives to make us happy, but we have trouble recognizing it. Happiness does not come from material things, money or the love of an admirer. Yes, material things can make us happy; money is something nice to have; love from another person can bring lots of pleasure, but real happiness comes from our own minds. It is the art of being you.
You can’t have everything you want, but you can have happiness by accepting all the good things in your life. The time we have on this earth is limited3, so take time to enjoy and appreciate a hot shower, the smell of a rose, the laughter of children and the feeling of the warm summer sun on your skin.
The art of being you is to feel the gratitude4 and peace of being alive. Take a quiet moment to thank everything for allowing you to live on the earth to discover happiness. Once you do this, you will know the great value of the art of being you. What more can you ask for?
"做自己"的藝術(shù)在于感受活著的平和并對其心存感激。找一個安靜的時刻感激所有令你能夠活在世上并發(fā)現(xiàn)幸福的事物。一旦做過,你便會知道"做自己"的價值所在。人生如此,夫復(fù)何求?
勵志英語演講稿8
“Once upon a time, there was a king who had a daughter as beautiful as a blooming rose. To all the suitors who came to the king#39;s palace to ask for the hand of the princess, the old king assigned three tasks to be accomplished, each next to impossible. One day, into the king#39;s palace came a handsome young prince…" Well, you know the rest. The three tasks may be different in different versions, but the main plot is always the same, with the prince claiming the princess#39;s hand triumphantly.
And the ending is always the same, finishing with the line "And they live happily every after."
Why aren#39;t we tired of something so fanciful, so unrealistic, and, I would say, so unimaginative? How can a story like that endure generations of repetition`? Because, I think, it is a typical success story. It is highly philosophical and symbolic. By implication, we see a 4-step definition of success: 1 ) a goal to be set. as represented by the beautiful princess; 2 ) challenges to be met, as represented by the three tasks; 3 ) the process of surmounting difficulties, as represented by the ordeals the youth goes through; and 4 ) the reward of success, as represented by the happy marriage.
The story not only caters to everyone#39;s inward yearning for success, but also emphasizes the inseparability of the process and the result. The reward of success will be much amplified if the path leading towards it is treacherous, and vice versa. If a person inherits his father#39;s millions and leads an easy life, he is not a successful person even in material terms, because there are no difficulties involved in his achieving affluence. The term "success", to be sure. will not sit still for easy definition. But as I understand it, the true meaning of success entails a combination of both the process and the satisfactory result of an endeavor. To clarify my view, let me give another analogy.
If we changed the rules of football, greatly enlarged the goal and sent away David Seaman or any other goal keeper, so that another David, namely David Beckham, could score easily, then scoring would not give him the thrill of accomplishment and the joy that it brings. If we further changed the rules by not allowing Arsenal#39;s defenders to defend, so that Beckham needed only to lift a finger, actually a toe, to score, then there would be no game at all, because the meaning of winning would have disappeared. In accepting the challenge, in surmounting the difficulties and in enduring the hardship, success acquires its value. The sense of attainment varies in proportion to the degree of difficulties on overcomes.
The concept of success is not constant but relative because the nature of difficulty is also relative. Something you do effortlessly might pose a great difficulty for a handicapped person. In acquiring the ability to do the same as you can, he or she achieve success. That#39;s why we greatly admire Stephen Hawking, because, though confined to a wheel chair, he has contributed greatly to the field of science.
I myself, a rather shy person by nature who easily suffer from stage fright, had to pluck up great courage to take part in a speech contest like this. I could have stayed away and had an easy time of it by not entering the university level contest. But I chose to accept the challenge and to face the difficulties. Now here I am. If I come out first, it will be a great success for me. If I come out last-I hope this will not be the case-but if I come out last, I will not call my attempt a failure, but will also celebrate it as a true success, because part of my goal is my own character training-to do more assertive, to be brave in face of difficulties. For me, it is a meaningful step forward, small as it is, in the long journey toward the final success in my life, because I have truly gained by participating.
Let us return to our handsome young prince and the 4-step definition of success. You my have noticed that the usual worldly criteria of wealth, position and fame were not mentioned as part of the story, but rather, it emphasized the process of overcoming difficulties. The ancient wisdom had already defined the meaning of success, and this is my definition, too.
Thank you.
youth
youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.
youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of sixty more than a body of twenty. nobody grows old merely by a number of years. we grow old by deserting our ideals.
years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.
whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing child-like appetite of what's next, and the joy of the game of living. in the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long are you young.
when the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at twenty, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch the waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at eighty.
Today I am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. Whatis success? It is what everyone is longing for.Sometimes success would be rathersimple. Winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success;making a new friend is success; even now I am
However, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes verycomplicated. Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is high social statussuccess? No, I don’t think so. I believe success is the realization ofpeople’s hopes and ideals.Nowadays, in the modern society there are manypeoplewho are regarded as the successful. And the most obvious characteristics ofhem are money, high position and luxurious life. So most people believe that ssuccess and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether itis real success. We all know there are always more money, higher position andbetter condition in front of us. If we keep chasing them, where is the end? Whatwill satisfy us at last? Therefore, we can see, to get the real Success we mustneed something inside, which is the realization of
Different people have different ideas about success; cause people’s hopesand ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear toeverybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our strivingfor success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightenedby the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and senseof responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that Ihave this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope.
What is success? Everyone has his own interpretation as I do. But I amsureevery success leads to an ever-brighter future. So ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make a

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real! Dream what you want to dream;go where you want to go;be what you want to be,because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy? Always put yourself in others’ you feel that it hurts you,it probably hurts the other person, too.
The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything;they just make the most of everything that comes along their iness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people

We have only one earth. But now,the environment becomes worse and worse. As you know, there's no enough clean water for people. So many of them lose their lives because of water. In a lot of countries, people have to cut trees for living. So there's nothing to keep water from running away. Also we have polluted the land, the river and the air. Some people may say:we are the masters of nature. Now the "master" seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyond his control.
the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some creatures including human beings.Facing all the disasters made by ourselves,we have the responsibility to deal with the problem.
we must do something useful to protect our environment. We can plant trees and take good care of them.We can save the water and ask our parents to do so.We can't throw any litter onto the ground and we should collect them for recycling. If we take good care of our earth today,it will be more beautiful tomorrow.
