對這個(gè)問題的回答是“No”。單詞越短，模樣看著越順眼，就越受老外歡迎。所以，他們動(dòng)不動(dòng)就給這些單詞增加新的意思。
比如spring這個(gè)單詞，我頭一次見是“春天”的意思，一直到第18回見，它都是“春天”的意思。后來有一天我看海明威的《老人與�！�，這個(gè)詞忽然變成了“彈簧”的意思。

這三個(gè)意思如果不是我在不同的場合碰到，每次都記下來是什么意思，僅僅靠猜是很難快速反應(yīng)出其意思的。
所以要掌握這6000來個(gè)單詞，保守說你得記15000個(gè)意思，這與背同樣數(shù)量的單詞沒有太大區(qū)別。
