　　1 relevant

　　Webster解釋：

　　【relevant】having significant and demonstrable bearing on the matter at hand

　　微臣解讀：重要的

　　This caution is particularly relevant in an assessment of the differences between Black poets at the turn of the century (1900-1909) and those of the generation of the 1920's.

　　當(dāng)我們在評估00年代和20年代這兩代黑人詩人之間的差異的時(shí)候，這個(gè)警告就尤為重要了。

　　2 fiction & invention

　　Webster解釋：

　　【fiction】A statement or account that is fiction is not true.

　　【invention】something that is the product of the imagination especially: a false conception.

　　微臣解讀：虛構(gòu)、假

　　Invention was a hallmark the work of the ancient Greek historians, whose writings were filled with long and often purely fictitious speeches by great historical figures.

　　3 dismiss

　　Webster解釋：

　　【dismiss】to decide not to think about or consider (something or someone)
