真題為C4 Test3Task1: The chart gives information about post-school qualifications in terms of the different levels of further education reached by men and women in Australia in 1999.
知識(shí)點(diǎn)1:對(duì)于靜態(tài)圖在改寫(xiě)第一段的時(shí)候采取give the information about或者是compare the differences between/among是比較方便的,因?yàn)樗^靜態(tài)圖就是不涉及趨勢(shì)的變化,所以用這兩種比較概述性的表達(dá)比較容易完成首段的改寫(xiě)。之后只需要從題目中或者圖表的標(biāo)題中選出相應(yīng)的名詞或者名詞性詞組加在后面即可。
知識(shí)點(diǎn)2:在開(kāi)頭段的改寫(xiě)中,有的.時(shí)候中心名詞的修飾限定部分僅僅通過(guò)形容詞是說(shuō)不清楚的,此時(shí)同學(xué)們一定要把握機(jī)會(huì)秀出自己的語(yǔ)法,而且此時(shí)多數(shù)情況會(huì)使用非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞或者定語(yǔ)從句
We can see immediately that there were substantial differences in the proportion of men and women at different levels. The biggest gender difference is at the lowest post-school level, where 90% of those who held a skilled vocational diploma were men, compared with only 10% of women. By contrast, more women held undergraduate diplomas (70%) and marginally more women reached degree level (55%).
知識(shí)點(diǎn)3:中間段的首句一般情況下是用來(lái)寫(xiě)概述性總括句的,也就是我們所謂的overview,overview意味著是該段落所涉及的描述對(duì)象的明顯的且概括性的特征,考官通過(guò)we can see immediately that和substantial簡(jiǎn)單利落的做到了overview應(yīng)行使的表達(dá)作用。
知識(shí)點(diǎn)4:通過(guò)biggest gender difference我們可以充分體會(huì)到西方人的表達(dá)習(xí)慣--先從最高值說(shuō)起
知識(shí)點(diǎn)5:where引出了一個(gè)新穎有容易理解的定語(yǔ)從句,替代at this level,句中又嵌套一個(gè)who 引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句,盡管是雙重定語(yǔ)從句但是表達(dá)上層次清晰,意思明了。這是一句極易模仿的高分表達(dá),大家學(xué)起來(lái)呦。
知識(shí)點(diǎn)6:marginally more than其實(shí)就等于咱們所說(shuō)的a little more than,一個(gè)marginally瞬間變高端。
知識(shí)點(diǎn)7:同樣都是拿學(xué)歷,同樣都是簡(jiǎn)單句,分別通過(guò)held..... diplomas....reach....level,以及下一段的men with....diplomas解決了表達(dá)重復(fù)的問(wèn)題。
At the higher levels of education, men with postgraduate diplomas clearly outnumbered their female counterparts (70% and 30%, respectively), and also constituted 60% of Masters graduates.
知識(shí)點(diǎn)8:outnumber比起surpass和exceed更適合靜態(tài)圖用來(lái)描述超過(guò)。
知識(shí)點(diǎn)9:counterpart一個(gè)非常實(shí)用而且高端的代詞counterpart在這里就等于people with postgraduate diplomas。
知識(shí)點(diǎn)10:respectively,分別地,constitute表示占據(jù),都是靜態(tài)圖的高頻實(shí)用詞匯,大家不要忘記使用呦。
Thus we can see that more men than women hold qualifications at the lower and higher levels of education, while more women reach undergraduate diploma level than men. The gender difference is smallest at the level of Bachelors degree, however.
