俞伯牙善于彈琴，鐘子期善于欣賞。俞伯牙彈琴時，心里想著高山，鐘子期便說：“啊!彈得真好!巍峨得像泰山一樣高!”俞伯牙心里想著流水，鐘子期便說：“啊!彈得真好!廣闊得像江河一樣大!”。
