前言：死神，即死亡之神，是人們傳說中的神之一。各個國家死神的含義不同，在中國死神是陰曹地府的鬼差黑白無�；蚺ｎ^馬面等神。在外國特別是歐美國家人們認為撒旦，即墮落天使路西法為死神，身穿黑袍，手拿象征著殺戮與制裁的鐮刀，他是邪-惡、災(zāi)難和死亡的象征 。
當(dāng)他的三個好友、父母、和他合作的小女孩都相繼離奇死去后，他忘記了笑容，卻還有一絲希望，可當(dāng)收養(yǎng)他的阿姨也死了之后，他開始相信死神的詛咒。這個詛咒剝奪了他一切的快樂，一切與人的交流，他開始自閉，為了不再有人因為他而離開。
“她突然飛進我的人生”，一次偶然，在樓梯上抱住了一個從樓梯上摔下來的女孩，他——聰史——的生活開始有了變化。女孩主動他搶過散落在地的刑法筆記本，聰明地要到了他的所有信息。她把他家的電話當(dāng)成了她的專線電話，電話的一端她總是有說不完的話。她的熱情一步步擊潰聰史的防線，她像一束陽光照進他的心里。
盡管知道在一起是不可以，盡管知道這一輩子必須一個人過，盡管覺得宿命是不可違背的，可他還是情不自禁地沖出門趕上被他拒絕的她——瑞樹。在瑞樹的堅持下，聰史在一點點地勝利。夏天，他們一起去旅行，他第一次意識到“夏天是如此快樂，如此轉(zhuǎn)瞬即逝”，他也第一次明白瑞樹的堅強、勇敢與樂觀——“不管多么害怕，喜歡的話就要一直愛下去。”
