　　Smiling

　　I think smiling is as important as sunshine. Smiling is like sunshine because it can make people happy and have a good day. If you aren?t happy, you can smile, and then you will feel happy. Someone may say, “But I don?t feel happy.” Then I would say, “Please smile as you do when you are happy or play with your friends happily. You will really be happy again.”

　　Smiling can let you have more friends.So I say, smiling is like a flower. It will give you happiness.

　　INDUSTRY (DILIGENCE) 勤勉

　　It is a matter of course that industry will bring us success, wealth and good luck. I am sure that a hard-working person can always succeed in the work which he wants to do. This is unchangeable truth. Idleness is the opposite of industry. It is the source of all evil. An idle man only enjoys playing and making pleasures. That he is doomed to failure is of no doubt. We should not follow his example. 勤勉會帶給我們成功，財富和好運乃是當(dāng)然之事。我確信一個苦干的人終是能夠做成功他所要做的工作。這是不易之定理。 懶惰是勤勉的反面。它是萬惡之源泉。一個懶惰的人只享受玩耍和尋樂。他命運注定失敗是毫無疑問的。我們不應(yīng)學(xué)他的榜樣。

　　Whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what's next and the joy of the game of living. 　　An individual human existence should be like a river—small at first, narrowly contained within its banks, and rushing passionately past boulders and over waterfalls. Gradually the river grows wider, the banks recede, the waters flow more quietly, and in the end, without any visible break, they become merged in the sea, and painlessly lose their individual being. 人的生命應(yīng)當(dāng)像河流，開始是涓涓細(xì)流，受兩岸的限制而十分狹窄，爾后奔騰咆哮，翻過危巖，飛越瀑布，河面漸漸開闊，河岸也隨之向兩邊隱去，最后水流平緩，森森無際，匯入大海之中，個人就這樣毫無痛苦地消失了。

　　IS Failure a Bad Thing Failure is a common thing in our daily life. As students, we sometimes fail to get high scores in our exams. When we play games, we might be beaten by others. And there are times when we fail to do work well. All these failures happen naturally and almost every one of us has such experiences. However, there are different attitudes towards failure. Some people lose heart when they fail; they think the world is at its end. Some people don?t take failure seriously but just let it be, while some others learn much from failure, and therefore see the light of hope through failure. In my opinion, what is really important is not failure itself, but what we think of failure and what we do after failure. As long as we don?t give up, keeping believing in ourselves, and at the same time learn something from failure, we‘ll certainly make our mark in the end. So I am never afraid of failure, for I believe that failure is not a bad thing. Rather, “Failure is the mother of success.” 失敗是壞事嗎 失敗在我們的日常生活中很常見。作為學(xué)生，我們有時在考試中得不到高分。在我們和其他人比賽時，有時會輸。還有的時候，我們總做不好事情。所有這些失敗都很自然，我們每一個人都有類似的經(jīng)歷。 然而，面對失敗人們的態(tài)度卻截然不同。一些人失敗后變得灰心喪氣，似乎世界末日到了；一些人不拿失敗當(dāng)回事兒，聽之任之；還有一些人卻從失敗中學(xué)習(xí)東西，從而從失敗中能看到希望。 在我看來，重要的不是失敗本身，而是我們對待失敗的態(tài)度和失敗之后我們的行動。只要我們不放棄，相信自己，并從失敗中汲取營養(yǎng)，我們最后一定會取得勝利。因此，我從不害怕失敗，因為我相信失敗并不是壞事。相反，“失敗是成功之母
