At nine in the morning, I went to the countryside with my classmates. On the way we saw many rice fields and woods on both sides of the road. Farmers have built factories, shops and schools in many villages. Between ten and twelve we visited ten families. Many farmers who grew vegetables and raised silkworms became rich. Some families have bought color TV. Their life is much better than before. It’s said that some American friends would come to visit their village, too. I hope the farmers’ life will be better and better.

中國(guó)的萬(wàn)里長(zhǎng)城被稱為“萬(wàn)里長(zhǎng)城”。事實(shí)上，它有6000多公里長(zhǎng)。它蜿蜒地從西向東，穿過(guò)沙漠，越過(guò)高山，穿過(guò)山谷，直到最后到達(dá)大海。它是世界奇觀之一。
長(zhǎng)城有二十多個(gè)世紀(jì)的歷史。它的第一部分是在春秋時(shí)期建造的。戰(zhàn)國(guó)時(shí)期，有更多的城墻被用來(lái)保衛(wèi)不同王國(guó)的邊界。正是在秦朝，秦國(guó)把帝夫的發(fā)福部分統(tǒng)一為一個(gè)帝國(guó)。為了把敵人趕出他的帝國(guó)，秦始皇把所有的城墻連在一起。于是，長(zhǎng)城誕生了。
長(zhǎng)城的寬度足以讓五匹馬或十個(gè)人并排走。沿著墻的是瞭望塔，士兵們常常在那里守望。當(dāng)敵人到來(lái)時(shí)，在塔上點(diǎn)燃了火作為警告。
在古代沒(méi)有任何現(xiàn)代機(jī)器的情況下，很難建造這樣一堵墻。所有的工作都是手工完成的。成千上萬(wàn)的人死了，被埋在他們建造的城墻下。長(zhǎng)城不僅是由石頭和泥土建成的，而且是幾百萬(wàn)人的血肉所組成的。
今天，長(zhǎng)城不僅對(duì)中國(guó)人，而且對(duì)來(lái)自世界各地的.人都有興趣。他們中的許多人都知道中國(guó)著名的諺語(yǔ):“沒(méi)有到達(dá)長(zhǎng)城的人不是真正的人。”
