nowadays, one of the most serious problems china is faced with is brain drain. while shortages of talent trouble many universities and state-owned enterprises, millions of talented people either emigrate to developed countries or work for foreign companies. at the same time, a big crowd of well-educated people who are determined to follow their footsteps take toefl or gre as their passport to the west.

however, people see this phenomenon in different perspectives. some hold the opinion that china suffers a lot from brain drain. they argue, on the one hand, that brain drain considerably weakens our international competitiveness. on the other hand, they believe that the talent should serve their native country first.in contrast, others highlight the advantages of international exchange and cooperation. they claim that chinese youths should go abroad to study and gain more experience. what’s more, the long-term benefits will outweigh losses we suffer now.

brain drain poses a challenge. china should go all out to attract talented people in order to better compete in the world. for one thing, decent living and working conditions should be offered to specialists. for another, we have to better develop our economy, which is a sure bait for all kinds of talent.

Today is the Mid-Autumn festival, but the sky is gray, as if to the moon girl in a veil.

The night is creeping open and the veil is lifted. The sky was dark blue and blue. Blue. The black is uncertain, it seems to be a magnificent stage. Looking up at the sky, the clouds, a winding stairway like the Great Wall, and the white jade carving of the moon, created a sense of obscurity.

The dark blue sky was dotted with dark purple. Such a large sky, the number of stars is very few, they seem to be the special guest of the moon girl. When the moon finally peeped out from the clouds, the sky suddenly lit up. It can be said that "the soul of the ice, the jade, the curling autumn moon". It seems to be like the shadow of the wind, like a wall, a refreshing.

The moon may be shy, she gets into the clouds and refuses to show up. So people set off fireworks, like shooting stars, like a fireworks display for the moon. The moon rose, and the moon was more shy, and plunged into the cloud.

  Month, quietly, quietly sleeping

  Tourism in China

Recent years have seen a tendency in China that tourism is growing faster. According to a recent survey made by some experts, about 47% urban residents travel regularly, and 28% rural residents also make their tour across the country. The survey also shows that more people are interested in tourism, and will join the army in the future.

Facing this tendency, we can’t help exploring some underlying factors that are responsible. In the very first place, with the policy of reform and opening up, Chinese people’s living standard has been greatly improved, and therefore, most of them can afford to travel around. What’s more, it is believed that people now take a more positive attitude to tourism, and regard it as a life style. In addition, tourism facilities are becoming better and better. For example, transportation develops fast, and many scenic spots are available now.

Traditional Chinese culture is beginning to capture the attention of the world. This is true even as popular culture that has traditionally been considered Western begins to spread throughout China. Kung Fu, especially, has had a great impact on the millions of people who first learned about China through it.

From that, they may come to China and learn about other aspects of this culture, such as traditional operas like the Beijing and Sichuan ones. Asian nations have long known about the greatness of ancient Chinese culture. Their own cultures are a mix of native ones and those Chinese characteristics.

Korea and Japan long ago adopted ideas such as Confucianism is something that continues today even as it is challenged by Pop Culture. This strength comes from the ideas given in the Four Books of Confucianism (The Great Learning, The Doctrine of the Mean, The Analects of Confucius, and The Book of Mencius).

These books built upon the ideas of an even more ancient period codified in the Five Classics. From them, the West learns such things as Fengshui and other concepts that are uniquely Chinese. China has taken steps to further this spread of its culture by establishing Chinese Cultural Centers in such places as the United States and Europe.

  Foreigners’ Impression On Chinese [外國(guó)人對(duì)中國(guó)人的印象]

Nowadays, Chinese people are everywhere, on the one hand, they like to travel and on the other hand, the population is very large. But foreigners’ impression on Chinese is not always good. The media have reported the negative incidents that were brought by Chinese tourists, and many foreigners have given their opinion and criticized the tourists’ behavior. It is true that many Chinese people haven’t realized their bad behavior, such as talking loudly in the public occasion. As we have the large population, so not every people has the chance to receive good education. What’s more, the foreign media just reported the bad side while ignoring the good side, so the foreign people always think Chinese people are rude. We admit that we are not doing well enough and we need to behave ourselves. And I believe that a wise man will make his own judgment when he communicate with Chinese.

Will Christmas Replace the Spring Festival?

Christmas arouses increasing attention year by year in China. Christmas cards become popular with students. People hold Christmas parties and exchange Christmas girts. A lot or TV and radio programs about Christmas are on. Meanwhile the Spring Festival is less appealing (具有吸引力的)to youngsters. Thus some people wonder whether Christmas will replace the Spring Festival.

This worry is fairly unnecessary. Why ? One reason lies that Christmas only affects Christians, college students and joint-venture (合資企業(yè))workers. Another reason is that Christmas is mostly celebrated in cities. Few people in countryside show extreme interest in this exotic(富有異國(guó)情調(diào)的) festival. By contrast, the Spring Festival is the most influential traditional festival in every family.

I think,it is natural that with increasing exchanges with the West,a lot of Western holidays have been gradually introduced into China. For us Chinese we should never neglect or even discard our own traditional festivals. For centuries Chinese have observed this traditional holiday to welcome the beginning of a new year. And we will treasure the Spring Festival forever.

Why do the young enjoy western festivals so much? Since they worship everything new, and they can’t resist the temptation. In their opinions, western festivals symbolize the fashion, while our Chinese traditional festivals are out of date. No wonder we always feel so boring during our traditional holidays. If we still turn a blind eye to our traditional festivals, our culture and civilization will disappear someday. Accordingly, it is high time for us to pay close attention to our Chinese festivals.

There is a thing, it carries the people's hope that this kind of thing is virtual and real, it can not see, touched, but in the heart to produce a huge force, it is called a dream. God did not give us wings, but gave us the heart and the dream of the brain, so that we have a pair of "invisible wings".

Everyone has a dream, but what is the dream? In fact, the dream is a real thing, only through hard work and pay, and down to earth, you can have a dream, to achieve the dream. And I already have a dream seed deeply rooted in my heart, I want to be a teacher.

In all stages of life, there are many different dreams. Although the dream is different, but the pursuit of the dream of faith, never changed! So many dreams, and not all are achieved, as long as the realization of a enough. When we are in the pursuit of the dream of the process of failure, do not have to sad, as Yang Mengheng said "with action to heal"! To believe, as long as the insistence, always successful. Dreams need to be down to earth, step by step, and stick to every footprint until successful. There is an old saying called "juvenile wisdom is the national wisdom, juvenile strong strong country", indeed so! We carry the future of the motherland, so from now on, we must have at least one dream, and to achieve the dream of struggle!

Not long ago, CCTV "Focus Talk" carried out many interviews and made some relevant comments on the phenomena---"Crossing roads in the Chinese style".

There is a very common phenomenon around us that people just run the light totally ignoring the running vehicles, which can lead to serious consequences. Last week a traffic accident happened near our school, a rushing car knocked down a student who was running the red light. And because of the car's sudden stop, several cars behind crashed into each other. Of course this caused a terrible traffic jam.

In my opinion, effective measures should be taken to solve the problem. First, we can make good use of the media, such as TV, newspaper, magazine, to raise people's awareness of obeying the traffic rules and road safety. Second, government must make severe laws to punish people who dare to break the law and run the red light.

On the Dragon Boat Festival, eating delicious dumplings. I asked my mother with great interest, "is there any special history of this festival?" My mother held my hand and said, "this is a touching story."

The happy Dragon Boat Festival two thousand years ago, the doctor of the state of chu was very patriotic, but the king did not listen to his advice, but exiled him to a long distance. In 278, the state of chu was occupied by the qin army. Qu yuan heard this, but he could not bear to abandon his country. On the fifth day of may, he put a stone into the river and wrote a song of "patriotic love" with his own life. For thousands of years, people have commemorated him, studied him, and called the fifth day of may "Dragon Boat Festival".

Mom started making zongzi again. The main ingredients of zongzi are glutinous rice and bamboo leaves. I saw my mother first take two pieces of bamboo and roll them into a cone, then put them into glutinous rice and then seal them. The body green oil of glutinous rice is like a green gold tower, watching makes people drool.

There are many traditional cultural festivals in our life, which let us know that our motherland has a long history and profound culture.

China has become a country with an increasing number of old people. By old people we usually mean persons over the age of sixty. We often call them senior citizens instead of old men to show our respect.

Most senior citizens retire or no longer work full-time. They usually live in their own houses not far from their children's, while the children of a few senior citizens have gone abroad and work or study far beyond the oceans. For certain senior citizens, tile years after retirement are not very enjoyable. First, they feel that their lives lose meaning for being at home all day. In addition, they may feel lonely, especially those without children around. Moreover, they become more concerned with their health, as they grow older, and worry a lot about their safety. At the same time, many senior citizens enjoy their lives. They feel free to do things they were not able to do when they were working and raising their families. They spend their time travelling, doing exercises or watching TV. They get together with their fellow members who have the common interests and equal free time.

In fact, there are some still continuing their work, not just for money, but to show their value. However, no one really wants to be old, and perhaps all like to be young forever.

On the other hand, they believe that the talent should serve their native country first.

In contrast, others highlight the advantages of international exchange and cooperation.

(204 words)

As we all know, China is an ancient country with a history of more than 5000 years. China is also an ancient cultural country with a profound cultural heritage. Therefore, this country is full of cultural atmosphere, edifying the Chinese people.

More than 100 years ago, China was still a very backward country, and there were many rich resources in this big country, so at that time, many countries invaded China to seize resources, the sleeping lion also woke up in a nightmare, the Chinese people fought against foreign invasion bravely, and finally the sleeping lion woke up, and stood in the forefront of the world with a high and powerful posture This lion is not hegemonism, but pacifism. China has also realized the importance of reform and opening up, let the world connect China and let China go to the world. Only opening up can make China go as far as possible.

Now many foreigners come to China for development. They are all attracted by China‘s diversity. For this reason, many Chinese still insist on learning Chinese, which indicates China’s strength, success and correct development path of socialism.

Looking back on how miserable it used to be for China to be invaded, and how bad it was to be invaded by others. This is also a word summed up through the edification of history: if we fall behind, we will be beaten. So we teenagers should study hard and march forward bravely for the future of China.

Near China's northern borders lived a man well versed in the practices of Taoism. His horse, for no reason at all, got into the territory of the northern tribes. Everyone commiserated with him.

"Perhaps this will soon turn out to be a blessing." said his father.

After a few months, his animal came back, leading a fine horse from the north. Everyone congratulated him.

"Perhaps this will soon turn out to be a cause of misfortune." said his father.

Since he was well-off and kept good horses his son became fond of riding and eventually broke his thigh bone falling from a horse. Everyone commiserated with him.

One year later, the northern tribes started a big invasion of the border regions. All able-bodied young men took up arms and fought against the invaders, and as a result, around the border nine out of ten men died. This man's son did not join in the fighting because he was crippled and so both the boy and his father survived.

Every year at the Spring Festival, everyone wants to put the firecrackers, the colorful flowers like flowers, the crackling firecracker of spring thunder. On the evening of the great year, my brother and I put the firecrackers in the open square downstairs. His brother took out a bottle of fireworks, and saw that the flowers appeared in a cloud. In the dark blue sky, a beautiful smiling face, like a spectacular meteor shower, like a scroll. I took out a bundle of hand flowers, with lighter approached slowly, after a few seconds, the top of the overflow of colorful flowers, I take a stick in the air, scribble, smoke, like a fairy's silver yarn. Then, a variety of different fireworks took off. Some like a dart of caterpillar; Some are umbrellas that people use on rainy days; Some of them are like rockets straight into the sky; Some are like blooming flowers... The silent night was filled with laughter and colors, and became a big garden. The sound of the fireworks was deafening, and it was like a thunderous spring thunder, sometimes like the lightning of the night sky.

At last, we set off a thousand firecrackers, listening to the crackling sound, I saw that our great motherland will be better tomorrow. Looking at the night sky bright and beautiful, such as the flower bed, such as the picture scroll, like the spring field...

The hair style of high school students has been a controversial issue for many years. The prescribed plain short hair may look tidy, but the insistence on the hair length below the ear lobe in the case of girl students, which is fixed at one centimeter or at most two, is quite unnecessary. Until recently, the Mayor of Tainan had tried to persuade the Ministry of Education to give the high schoolers the carte blanche to determine their own hair styles.

It is difficult for us to say if the idea is right or wrong. So far as I am concerned, problems of the young are not confined to such a small matter as hair style; what matters is the reinforcement of the students' moral consciousness, the way they should behave, and the like. The length of their hair or whether they have the right to give it a permanent wave is relatively unimportant. Cleanness and neatness is what really matters. There is hardly anything that stays unchanged all the time. Why doesn't the concerned authority reconsider this hair business? Maybe the bickerings that sour the relations between the military instructors and their students will therefore be gone. By the way, to improve one's appearance is nothing wrong, is it? We all expect to see a new look of the young. Maybe a change in the concerned authority's policy toward the high schoolers' hair style will bring this about.
