My name is Claire and I’m in my fourteen years old.
I live a happy life because I have a warm and harmonious family. There are four people in my family. They are my parents and my elder brother. My parents both are teachers so that my brother and I have been well educated. I am four years younger than my brother who always cares much about me. We have a good relationship though we quarrel even fight sometimes.
Actually I am likely to consider it as a sign of love. In one word I really love my family. How about yours?

一天夜晚，燈光下媽媽在家里邊做玩具，邊看著新聞。我在書房里看書。突然，媽媽叫著：“穎兒，快來看！這新聞上的工人在和外國人說著什么？”我跑出來一看，只見電視上正在播放著一群外國人在參觀一個(gè)玩具公司，一個(gè)外國人正在和一位工人用英語在交談著的新聞。
“媽媽，我剛開始學(xué)的也聽不明白，不過播音員不是解釋著嗎？”我搖搖頭說。
“快看，這工人最后說的Goodbye（再見）是什么意思？”
“那是再見的意思。您不也初中畢業(yè)嗎？您怎么聽不懂英語呢？”
“哎，別提了，那時(shí)我學(xué)習(xí)很不認(rèn)真，成天只知道玩，現(xiàn)在后悔也來不及了�！眿寢屔钋榈赝送�，“穎兒，你一定要好好學(xué)習(xí)呀，不能像媽媽這樣一無所長呀。”
媽媽望了望電視，自言自語地說：“唉，要是我也會(huì)說英語那該多好��！……”
我安慰道：“媽，沒關(guān)系的。不如我來教你學(xué)英語吧，怎么樣？等奧運(yùn)會(huì)辦完后許多外國人肯定會(huì)到胡適故居來參觀的，說不定還會(huì)到您的工廠去玩呢！”
“真的嗎？那好哇，我就跟你學(xué)英語，說不上我將來也能跟外國人聊上幾句。”媽媽高興地說。
從那天起，每天晚上，你只要經(jīng)過我的家門口，那你一定會(huì)經(jīng)常聽到一個(gè)小女孩在讀著英語：Whattimeisit？（幾點(diǎn)了），It’seighto’clock.（八點(diǎn)了）。還有一個(gè)婦女也跟著讀，這就是我和我的`媽媽在讀英語。
