　　我的母親

　　My mother is a village woman， who is already in her fifties. She had very little school education， but she knows that knowledge is of great importance to young people. She often asks me how I get along with my studies and encourages me to study hard.

　　My mother takes good care of me and does everything she can for me， so that I can spend more time on my study.

　　Once she was badly ill and had stayed in bed for several days. When I got home to see her at night， I found the light was still on and mother was sitting in bed， making new clothes for me ! I was so deeply moved that tears came to my eyes.

　　Strictly speaking, I never took a sentence as my proverb until I heard the classic words in <> that “Life is a box of chocolate, you never know what gonna get.” Although it is not profound enough, it does change my life by giving me hope, it does inspire me by showing me various possibilities or consequences.

　　I still remember the astonishment when I went though our college gate. This old, sherry school would be my campus where I would spend my golden years. I lay on my bed thinking of my college life. To be honest, I totally couldn’t accept the disparity between the reality and my dreaming university. At that time, I felt my whole world was gray. Certainly, I did nothing meaningful in my first year.

　　Occasionally, I heard the sentence from my friend’s letter answering my endless complain. He draw a delicate card writing “Life is a box of chocolate, you never know what gonna get.” Initially, I paid little attention to that, but I did remember it. At the same time, I realized that something changed inside me. After I had watched the movie <>, changes became clear. Having heard this sentence again, it severely shocked me. 　　It happened on a Wednesday morning last January, just before our final examation. I got to the reading-room very early to occupy a seat. I put a book on the desk and then went to have breakfast. But when I hurried back into the reading-room, I found someone was sitting on the seat which I had occupied in advance. I ran to him immediatly and shouted at him angrily, "Go away. It's my seat." Everyone raised their eyes and stared at me unfriendly. My face turned red and I felt ashamed of myself. I took my book and fled helter-skelter before so many eyes.

　　I dared not go to the reading-room for several days. I learned a lesson in the reading-room. Since then I have been keeping the lesson in mind: To be polite to everyone.
