托福詞匯英語單詞比比看

　　基本詞匯：

　　look:是常用詞, 指“注意或有意識(shí)地看”。 強(qiáng)調(diào)動(dòng)作，常用短語look at,have a look at.

　　Example:

　　He looked but saw nothing.他看了, 但什么也沒看見。

　　read:看報(bào)紙，看書等時(shí)用read

　　Example:

　　My fahter always reads magazines after dinner.

　　see:強(qiáng)調(diào)看的結(jié)果，常用句型：see sb. do sth.(看到某人做某事，強(qiáng)調(diào)過程，看到了事情的整個(gè)經(jīng)過。see sb. doing sth.(看到某人正在做某事，看到某事正在發(fā)生）。

　　Example:

　　I saw her playing a tennis match. (part of the process部分過程)

　　I saw her play a tennis match.(the entire process完整過程)

　　watch:聚精會(huì)神的看，觀察。用法與see基本一樣。

　　Example:

　　She sat and watched the children play.她坐下來看著孩子們玩耍。

　　sight:此詞與視力和視覺有關(guān)，意指察看或視野。

　　Example:

　　Don't let the puppy out of your sight.別讓小狗離開你的視線。

　　進(jìn)階詞匯：

　　gaze: 凝視，注視，指由于好奇、感嘆、長(zhǎng)時(shí)間目不轉(zhuǎn)睛地看。

　　Example:

　　The girl gazed at her beautiful new doll.女孩目不轉(zhuǎn)睛地看著她美麗的新娃娃。

　　He gazed out the window at the snow.他凝視這窗外的雪。

　　stare指“睜大眼睛、目不轉(zhuǎn)睛地盯著看”

　　Example:

　　It's impolite to stare at people.盯著看人不禮貌。

　　glare怒目而視，強(qiáng)調(diào)懷有敵意或在氣憤的情緒下看

　　Example:

　　He glared at her.他向她瞪眼。

　　The woman glared at the man after he yelled at her.那男人粗暴地沖她大聲喊叫，她也怒目而視。

　　peek指“偷看”、“通過孔隙窺視”

　　Example:

　　Close your eyes, and no peeking!閉上眼睛，不許偷看！

　　gape:(張著嘴、瞪大眼睛)呆看，強(qiáng)調(diào)一種吃驚的狀態(tài)。

　　Example:The audiences gaped at the Magician's performance.觀眾們張大了嘴巴呆呆地看著魔術(shù)師的表演。

　　glance:(粗略地、隨便地)一瞥，看一眼。

　　Example:

　　Glancing down, she noticed her shoe was untied.往下瞅了一眼，她發(fā)現(xiàn)鞋帶開了。

　　glimpse與glance意思相近，短促地看一眼，一瞥。

　　peep:窺視，偷看。

　　Example:

　　She peeped at her textbook during the examination.她在考場(chǎng)上偷看教科書。

　　相關(guān)短語：peeping Tom 偷窺狂

　　stare:凝視，盯著，指由于好奇、驚訝、贊嘆等原因而瞪大眼睛長(zhǎng)時(shí)間地、直接地注視常常含有粗魯無禮的意思。

　　Example:

　　Rose stared her ex-husband's girlfriend up and down.羅絲把她前夫的女友上上下下打量了一番。
