　　第一點，考生常常使用過于晦澀的單詞，而又不理解其確切意思。很多考生在背單詞的時候，認識到一些以前不了解的高端新托福寫作詞匯。但是這些高端詞匯的用法常常十分的局限，只能用于某一特定的情況下。但是考生常常為了故意顯示他的詞匯量，寬泛和隨意地使用高端詞匯。這種做法反而會使得考官不能理解句意，感到莫名其妙。其實，一些簡單有力的詞匯在不同的短語中也是有不同的意思的。與其去尋找難詞怪詞，不如講自己詞匯量內(nèi)的詞語鉆研透，靈活使用。

　　第二點，考生偏向于使用句式復(fù)雜的長句。英文寫作中的長句常常可以體現(xiàn)文采和寫作者對于語言的駕馭水平。對于托福寫作考生而言，只要可以使用被動和主動之間的切換即可，并不需要刻意地去將各種句式句型嵌套到文章中。文章本天成，妙手偶得之。生搬硬套從來就不可能得到閱卷人的賞識，還會耽誤考生的時間，不利于文章思路的連貫。有效而精準(zhǔn)地表達觀點是最重要的，句型只是為之服務(wù)的工具，達到這個目的的手段而已。考生切勿本末倒置。

　　第三點，考生一味迷信于所謂的經(jīng)典范文。中國的托福考生何其之多，一篇范文萬人抄并非不可能出現(xiàn)。考生希望學(xué)習(xí)范文，托福寫作輔導(dǎo)提到借鑒范文是可以理解的，但是在考場上刻意去回憶某一篇范文作為自己的答案是不可取的。一方面，范文也只是應(yīng)試之作，不是什么值得銘記的文學(xué)佳作。
