獨(dú)立寫(xiě)作預(yù)測(cè)
1. Do you agree ordisagree with the following statement? The government should support artistsrather than allow them to support themselves.
思路:
觀點(diǎn):應(yīng)該支持
論點(diǎn):1. 如果有政府的支持,更多有天賦和熱情的人會(huì)選擇成為藝術(shù)家,而現(xiàn)在的事實(shí)是很多藝術(shù)家很難為生,如果沒(méi)有政府的支持,他們的經(jīng)濟(jì)壓力會(huì)很大;
2. 如果有政府的支持,藝術(shù)家們就能有更多的時(shí)間和精力投入到他們喜歡的藝術(shù)品的創(chuàng)作,而不是為了維生,做一些無(wú)聊的工作;
3. 政府的支持可以提高大眾的藝術(shù)意識(shí),使更多人的能夠欣賞藝術(shù)品。
范文:
There is a heateddebate about whether government should support artists in our society. Whilesome people believe this is a really good idea for artists, others insistgovernmental support is a waste of resources. From my perspective, I think thegovernment should support artists for the sake of public interests.
First of all, moretalented and enthusiastic people would choose to become artists if they hadgovernment support. There is no denial that many artists are struggling tosupport themselves no matter how talented they are or how hard they work, whichleads to a concern that becoming an artist may not be a wise choice among thepublic, especially among the parents. A young boy who loves oil-painting andhopes to become a professional painter in the future is likely to getcriticism, rather than support from his parents. Without any governmentsupport, the artists had to suffer heavy economic pressure, in the meanwhilethe people who want to become an artist had to bear much social pressure andmisunderstanding as well, all of which have contributed to a continued declineof the number of artists. Apparently, government support to the artists willlargely resolve this social problem. By guaranteeing a respectful living forartists, more talented people will become artists and make more contributionsto the cultural development.
In addition,government support would enable artists to devote more time and energy to theartistic work they really like, instead of the boring work they used to havedone for making a basic living. As artists need to earn some money in order tosupport themselves today, they have no choice but doing some work they have nointerests at all, such as playing piano in a local hotel, painting portraitsfor celebrities and singing popular songs in a noisy bar. These kinds of workhave nothing to do with the art they are pursuing. Nevertheless, they have todo it no matter how reluctant they are to support themselves. This unfortunatesituation could be changed if they have government support. They will be abledevote themselves to achieving their artistic ambitions without bothering withmaking money.
Last but not least,the government support could also increase the public awareness of art amongthe general public, thus making more people appreciate artistic works. Thegovernment can show how much it valuable and treasure art by providing supportto artists. As a consequence, more people will be encouraged by government topay more attention to art, which will benefits both the artists and the publicin the long run.
In conclusion, Ibelieve that the government should support artists rather than allow them tosupport themselves. Not only the number of artists and artistic works willincrease considerably, but the society will be benefited as a result.
2. Do you agree or disagree with the followingstatement? Professional athletes who receive high salaries, such as footballand basketball players, deserve what they get.
During the recent day, some people claim thatthe professional athletes always get much more salaries than they deserve. Frommy perspective, I cannot agree with this statement and I have several reasonsto support my point.
First and foremost, athletes should experiencethe hardest training which other people cannot imagine. When normal people arestill in the bed, they have to get up and start running and training. And atthe same time, they cannot enjoy entertainment like normal people. For example,a professional should exercise every day. If one day he miss the training, itnot only he would punished by coach,butalso he would feel a lot of pain than before because his muscle has accustomedto the intensity of everyday's exercise. Meanwhile, his body has already beenruled and programmed. Furthermore, in order to get better grades, it isinevitable that the athlete get hurt. Sometimes it even endangers to his life.Thus, it is obvious that they should get the high salary for the reason that hepays far more efforts than others.
What's more, because an athlete sacrifices hislife into gym, he knows little about others such as social and economic life,which means except being an athlete he can do nothing at all. In one day, thereis no doubt he would quit from the athlete’s career when he gets older.However, there is no work he can do after leaving gym. Hence, it is hard forhim to raise himself up not mention to other families. The only economicresource is the salary he saving during being an athlete, so the professionalathlete should be given the higher salary.
Admittedly, someone will argue that Yao Ming isbecoming the coach. And he is richer than before. But we cannot forget thistype of people must be the minority. Much more people cannot have theopportunity like Yao Ming. In fact, according to the data from the Internet,80% of athletes retire from the gym center, they are under huge pain whichcaused by high-intensive training and poor for the reason that no company willto offer job to them.
As the result, I strongly believe thatprofessional athletes should be provided high salaries. Because they suffer alot and do the normal people cannot do. And the public has the obligation toraise his rest of time even after retiring for the reason that the career theydo is for the honor of country.
