"What can I be"
One day Simon looked up and wondered, “What can I be?”
一天,西蒙抬頭仰望并思考著,我能成為什么呢?
I can be a bird in a nest in a tree.
我能成為窩里的小鳥(niǎo),呆在樹(shù)上。
I can be a pencil and draw pictures to share.
我能成為一支鉛筆,繪出圖畫(huà)給大家分享。
I can be a triangle, circle, or square.
我能成為三角形,圓圈兒或是方塊兒。
I can be like a fish, and swim in the ocean.
我能成為一條魚(yú)兒,在大海遨游。
I’d play in the waves with a wiggling motion.

I can be a butterfly and float in the breeze…

… or curl myself into a hive for the bees.”

(4) Suddenly, it starts to rain hard! But we keep our picnic lunch dry… under Clifford!

(5) When someone is in trouble, Clifford is there to help. When there is a fire, Clifford has to think fast.
每當(dāng)別人有麻煩的時(shí)候,Clifford都會(huì)幫忙。當(dāng)發(fā)生火災(zāi)的時(shí)候,Clifford開(kāi)動(dòng)腦筋。
(6) Good! He puts out the fire!
太棒了!他撲滅了大火!
(7) And when Mr Bleakman’s car can’t start, who pushes it all the way home? Clifford, my big red dog!
當(dāng)Bleakman先生的汽車(chē)發(fā)動(dòng)不了的時(shí)候,是誰(shuí)一直把它推回家了呢?是Clifford,我的大紅狗哦!
