各種笑的英語表達(dá)

　　笑是人們表達(dá)思想感情最常見的一種方式。中文里有關(guān)“笑”的詞匯非常豐富，比如“大笑”、“微笑”、“傻笑”、“笑容滿面”、“莞爾一笑”等等。中文詞匯如此生動多樣，那么在英語中有關(guān)“笑”的詞匯是否也同樣豐富呢？

　　1、Smile（微笑）

　　Smile是微笑，也是最常用的笑，它常給人留下美好的印象： give a soft smile/crack a smile 莞爾一笑，give a charming smile 嫣然一笑，give a faint smile 是淡淡一笑，give a false/crafty smile 是皮笑肉不笑的假笑。滿面笑容、咧嘴大笑是smile from ear to ear，笑容可掬是be radiant with smile，苦笑叫force a smile，他眉開眼笑就是His face melts in smiles.

　　2、Laugh（笑）

　　Laugh常表示出聲的笑，其程度要大于smile：哈哈大笑laugh heartily，傻笑是laugh foolishly，獰笑是laugh grimly，暗中竊笑是laugh in one’s sleeve/beard，笑掉大牙是laugh one’s head off，笑聲陣起是burst into laughter.

　　3、Grin（露齒而笑）

　　She was grinning with delight. 她高興得咧開嘴笑了。

　　4、Chuckle（含笑，輕聲笑）

　　He was chuckling to himself over what he was reading. 他對自己在讀的東西暗自發(fā)笑。

　　5、Giggle（咯咯地笑；傻笑）

　　I heard them giggle when I passed by the girls. 我走過那些女孩子身邊時，聽見她們咯咯地笑。

　　6、Roar（哄笑；大笑）

　　His jokes set the table in a roar. 他的笑語使?jié)M座哄堂大笑。

　　7、Snicker（忍笑；暗笑）[通常有不敬的成分]

　　On hearing his absurd opinion, I went snickering. 聽了他荒謬的意見，我忍不住笑著走開了。

　　8、Simper（假笑；癡笑；傻笑）

　　When I told him that news,he simply simpered. 當(dāng)我把那消息告訴他時，他只假笑了一下。

　　9、Cachinnate（放聲大笑）

　　He cachinnated till his sides ached. 他笑得肚皮都痛了。

　　10、Chortle（歡笑；哈哈大笑）

　　The children chortled all the time while they were hearing the story. 孩子們聽那個故事時，始終歡笑不止。
