The Tourist’s Behavior
As the economic level keeps increasing, many people would like to travel abroad. But there is a survey shows that China is one of the five worst tourist nations which include India, France, Russia and England. It didn’t surprise me because there is always news about how Chinese tourists impressed the local people by their bad behavior. They were known as talking loud in the public, being unfriendly to the environment, tipping stingily, and the worst, marking on the historical sites.
Every time I heard about these thing I felt so sorry for my country. China is meant to be a country with an ancient civilization and courtesy people. We are nice to foreigners here and being a good host. I hope every tourist who goes abroad should understand that he/she is on behalf of our country. We have the responsibility to defend the dignity of our country. We should show the world the best of China.

The summer holiday which I’m looking forward to is coming. What great fun it is to go fishing! Playing football is one of my hobbies. I can climb high mountains or ride my bicycle. Sometimes I can play chess with my father. How interesting my holiday will be! But my father is always afraid I will be hurt by a truck, fall into the water, or fall off a tree. He is also afraid I will fight against others or be kidnapped by bad men. But if I’m careful and polite enough, how could these things happen? There is an old saying that two heads are better than one, which suggests that the majority’s collective wisdom always dwarfs that of the minority, let alone any individual. There are people who believe that for a society to cohere there must be a strong consensus as well as unity and discipline. Therefore we must not overemphasize the importance of critical thinking which is abound to result in confusion and quarrels.

But I don’t agree with this. First, I have no respect for majority’s wisdom. I believe that most people do not usually use their heads, they are also lack of creativity, and therefore are ignorant and prejudiced and often become mobs and stampede easily. Second, anyone who has the creativity will have an important impact on our society. But their wisdom is usually different from the majority’s.

In a word, everything has two sides. What’s more important is that to learn knowledge from different kinds of wisdom and to improve our ability.
