　　1.先行詞表示時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)、原因，但關(guān)系詞指代先行詞在定語從句中充當(dāng)主語或賓語時(shí)，應(yīng)用關(guān)系代詞that或which.如：

　　I’ll never forget 1976 that / which was full of sadness.

　　2. 關(guān)系副詞有時(shí)相當(dāng)于 “適當(dāng)?shù)慕樵~+關(guān)系代詞”。如：

　　This is the room where / in which he lives.

　　這就是他住的房間。

　　I can see the desk where / on which there is a book.

　　我能看見上面有一本書的那張桌子。

　　② when= on/in/at which

　　I still remember the year when/ in which I joined the Party. 我仍然記得入黨的那一年。

　　I still remember the day when/on which I joined the Party. 我仍然記得入黨的那一天。

　　I still remember the date when/at which I joined the Party. 我仍然記得入黨的那個(gè)日子。

　　③ why=for which

　　This is the reason why / for which he was killed.

　　這是他被殺害的原因。

　　3. 當(dāng)先行詞為time表示 “次數(shù)”時(shí)，常用關(guān)系詞that或省去關(guān)系詞，而不用when來引導(dǎo)定語從句。如：

　　This is the first/last time that I shall give you a lesson.

　　這是我第一次/最后一次給你們上課。

　　4. 當(dāng)point，situation等詞作先行詞表抽象的地點(diǎn)，其后常由where引導(dǎo)定語從句，where在定語從句中作地點(diǎn)狀語。
