What is love?
An elf sits between the green branches and leaves.
The wind not much, if any.
A bird flew over and stopped on the branch, looking at the rice field that was going to mature in the distance.
Asked the spirit took out a bunch of glistening rice: "do you love this rice?"
"Love."
"Why?"
"It drives me out of hunger."
The bird pecked the rice, gently comb its feathers.
"Do you love this rice now?" The elves took out a bunch of glistening rice.
The bird looked up at a fountain in the distance and answered, "now I love the Bay spring, and Im a little thirsty."
The elves took off a leaf, and there was a fountain of water in it.
The bird finished the spring and was ready to fly away.
"Please answer me one more question," the elves put out their fingertips, and the birds stopped on it.
"What more important things are you going to do?" I also have spring in the rice. "
"Im going to the valleys with the hyacinth to see the hyacinth."
"Why?" Can it drive away your hunger? "
"No,"
"Can it moisturize your thirst?"
"No,"
"Then why are you going to see it?"
"I need it."
"Why do you need it?"
"I love it."
"Why do you love it?"
"I miss it all day and night."
"Why do you miss it?"
"I love it."
The elves have been silent for a moment and put forward a question.
"Why do you only love that one of the hyacinth? There are numerous hyacinth in the valley. "
"Because its the only one."
"Why?" Is it different from all the other hyacinth? "
"Yes."
"Where is the difference?"
"Only it is the one I love."
The elves suddenly laughed and the birds fluttered away.

In a famous church in Seattle, there is a prestigious clergyman - Dale Taylor. One day, he told the following story to a class of students in the church school.
That winter, the hunter went hunting with a hunting dog. The hind legs of a rabbit hunter shot and injured rabbit tried to escape, the dogs were subsequently pursued. But after a while, the rabbit ran farther and farther. Dogs know it is not catch up, but bitterly hunters return to the side. Hunter said angrily: "you are really useless, even an injured rabbit have not catch!"
The hound defended, "Ive done my best to do it!"
Besides, the rabbit came home successfully with gunshot wounds. The brothers came around and asked him in surprise. "The hunting dog is very fierce. How did you take it away?"
The rabbit said, "it is to do our best, I do my best!" It didnt catch me up to get a scolding, and if I dont try to run, but would have died!"
When the Reverend Taylor finished the story to the class, and solemnly promise: if who can recite the "Bible Matthew" in the fifth chapter to the seventh chapter of the entire contents, he was invited to Seattle who "space needle" restaurant tower will attend the free dinner.
There are tens of thousands of words in the fifth and seventh chapters of the gospel of the Bible. There is no doubt that it is difficult to recite the full text of the full text of the gospel. Although many students will attend the free dinner is the dream of things, but almost everyone to check, from.
A few days later, a 11 year old boy in front of the class, standing in the answers to the Reverend Taylor, from A to Z required to recite, even not a word, not a little mistake, but in the end, it became extremely rich recite.
Clergyman Taylor is more aware than others that among adult believers it is also rare to recite these pages, not to be a child. At the same time, while praising the boys amazing memory, Taylor asked, "why do you have such a long word?"
The boy replied without thinking, "I do my best."
16 years later, the boy became the boss of the worlds famous software company. He is Bill Gate.
The story of pastor Taylor and Bill Gates successful recitation are very inspiring to people: everyone has great potential. As psychologists have pointed out, most people only develop the potential of about 2-8, a great scientist as great as Einstein, also developed only about 12. If a person has developed 50 potential, we can recite 400 textbooks, completion of more than 10 university courses, also can acquire 20 different national languages. That is to say, we have 90 of our potential still in a state of sleep. It is not enough for anyone who wants to be outstanding and miraculous. It is far from enough to do the best.

And the passionate say, "Nay, beauty is a thing of might and dread. Like the tempest she shakes the earth beneath us and the sky above us."
The tired and the weary say, "Beauty is of soft whisperings. She speaks in our spirit. Her voice yields to our silences like a faint light that quivers in fear of the shadow."

All these things have you said of beauty, yet in truth you spoke not of her but of needs unsatisfied, and beauty is not a need but an ecstasy. It is not a mouth thirsting nor an empty haand stretched forth, but rather a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted. It is not the image you would see nor the song you would hear, but rather an image you see though you close your eyes and a song you hear though you shut your ears. It is not the sap within the furrowed bark, nor a wing attached to a claw, but rather a garden for ever in bloom and a flock of angels for ever in flight.
Beauty is life when life unveils her holy face.

Both are so much related to each other. And both are so dissimilar! What are the differences between friendship and love? Is platonic friendship possible between persons of opposite sex? Let us try and understand.
What is friendship? Why do we call a person our friend? When do we call someone a very good friend? If we care for a person, if we are always ready to help that person and if we share most of our thoughts with a person, they are our good friends. We can always count upon our good friends in an emergency. We are always sure that our friend will understand why we acted in a certain way. We need not explain anything to our very good friends. The friendship is so deep and the relationship is so intimate, that most of the things are automatically understood by our friends.
What about love? In a relationship of deep love, all the sharing that we discussed above are taken for granted. But love transcends all this. During love, we are attached with a particular person, while in friendship, one may have many friends. A loving relationship makes one so much attached to the other, that one gets pained if his/her beloved is hurt! Love also involves a physical element. Friendship does not have that. This is a vital difference. Nature gives us love so that the specie can go forward. Nature does not give us friendship.
Your heart beats will never increase in anticipation of meeting your friend. You will not lie awake at night thinking about your friend. You will not feel totally lost, if you dont meet your friend for a few days. You will not have dreams in your eyes thinking about your friend. But in love, you will do all this and much more. Indeed, there is no comparison between love and friendship.

Can animals be made to work for us? Some scientists think that one day animals may be taught to do a number or simple jobs. They say that in a film or on TV, we may see elephants or monkeys, dogs, bears or other animals doing a lot of things. If you watch carefully, you may find that those animals are always given something to eat in return for doing them. The scientists said that many different animals may be taught to do a number of simple jobs if they know they will get something to eat in return. Of course, as we know, dogs can be used to guard a house.
And elephants can be used to do some heavy jobs. And we can also teach animals to work in factories. Apes, for example, have been used in America to help make cars. And scientists believe that these large monkeys may one day get in crops and even drive trains.

The young man replied, “$3for you and $3 for any kid who is older than six. Wet let them in free if they are six or younger. How old are they?”
Boddy replied, “The lawyer’s three and the doctor is seven, so I guess I owe you $6.”
The man at the ticket counter said, “Hey, Mister, did you just win the lottery or something? You could have saved yourself three bucks. You could have told me that the older one was six. I wouldn’t have know the difference. ” Bobby replied, “Yes, that may be true, but the kids would have known the difference.”
As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Who you are speaks so loudly I can’t hear what you’re saying.” In challenging times when ethics are more important than ever before, make sure you set a good example for everyone you work and live with.

Since the end of last century, Chinese economy developed very fast and it brought some chances to part of people, helping them earn a lot of money. When their children was born, people called them the rich second generation. The public always read some negative news about these rich guys, their label seemed to be young and reckless. But it is not true for all.
We must realize that those second rich generation who are reported in the news are negative image. The rich people belong to small part of it and most people are still struggling in the well-off level. So these negative image can help to ease their jealousness. What’s more, the negative news is always easy to catch the public’s attention and raise them to discuss. That’s the value of news report.
Let’s take a look at the real rich second generation. They are born in the rich family and surely to win over most kids. But they know they have to learn, as so to compete with other excellent guys. They have the good resouces and they can make use of them, which help them to be skillful and knowledgable.
This is the true about these rich kids, as the common kid, we have no reason to give up studying.

There are thousands of pigeons in any big city in the world. But did you know that this common bird is able to find its way home from even a hundreds of kilometers away? Just how pigeons find their way home is a bit of mystery. Some people think that they use landmarks.
That is the pigeon knows what the land is like from the air and it uses this like a map. A landmark in Sydeny for example, is the Opera House, which can easily be seen from a long way off. Other possibilities are that pigeons use the position of the sun to work out directions or that they have some kind of built in compass. For quite a few years now, scientists have been caring out experiements on homing pigeons, but they still arent sure how pigeons find their way home. It seems likely, however, that pigeons like airline pilots use a number of different message to guide them on their long distance journeys. Perhaps, one day well learn their secret.

The worlds forests are disappearing. As much as one third of the total tree cover has been lost, since agriculture began some ten thousand years ago.The remaining forests are home to half of the worlds species, thus becoming the chief resource for their survival.Tropical rain forests once covered 12% of the land of the planet,as well as supporting at least half of the worlds species of plants and animals. These rainforests are home to millions of people.
But there are other demands on them,as well. For example, much wood has been cut for timber. An increasing amount of forest land has been used for industrial purposes or for agriculture development such as crop growing.By the 1990s less than half of the earths original rainforests remained, and they continued to disappear at an alarming rate every year.As a result, the worlds forests are now facing gradual extinction.

If you are like most people, your intelligence varies from season to season. You are probably a lot sharper in the spring than you are any other time of year. A noted scientist, Ellsworth Huntington 1876 - 1947 concluded from other mans’ work and his own among peoples in different climates that climate and temperature have a definite effect on our mental abilities.
He found that cool weather is much more favorable for creative thinking than summer heat. This does not mean that all people are less intelligent in summer than they are during the rest of the year. It does mean, however, that the mental abilities of large numbers of people tend to be lowest in the summer.
Spring appears to be the best time of the year for thinking. Fall is the next-best season than winter. As for summer, it seems to be a good time to take a long vacation from thinking.

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.
Youth means a tempera-mental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spring back to dust.
Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the Infinite, so long are you young.
When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at 80.

Love
愛
Love plays a pivotal role on our life. Love makes you feel wanted. Without love a person could go hayward and also become cruel and ferocious. In the early stage of our life, our parents are the ones who shower us with unconditional love and care, they teach us about what is right and wrong, good and bad.
But we always tend to take this for granted. It is only after marriage and having kids that a person understands and becomes sensitive to others feelings. Kids make a person responsible and mature and help us to understand life better.

Happiness and Sorrow
Materialistic happiness is short-lived, but happiness achieved by bringing a smile on others face gives a certain level of fulfillment. Peace of mind is the main link to happiness. No mind is happy without peace.
We realize the true worth of happiness when we are in sorrow. Sorrow is basically due to death of a loved one, failure and despair. But these things are temporary and pass away。

Failure and Success
Failure is the path to success. It helps us to touch the sky, teaches us to survive and shows us a specific way. Success brings in money, fame, pride and self-respect. Here it becomes very important to keep our head on out shoulder.
The only way to show our gratitude to God for bestowing success on us is by being humble, modest, courteous and respectful to the less fortunate ones。
