1詞義句意
無(wú)論是詞形還是詞義，四個(gè)選項(xiàng)區(qū)分度很大，看不出相關(guān)性。這類(lèi)題考察的是詞義，通常會(huì)用較長(zhǎng)的句子來(lái)增加難度。答題技巧是：找出句子主干，去除修飾成分，分析句子結(jié)構(gòu)，從而化長(zhǎng)為短化難為易，選出正確答案。所以，讀懂句子是關(guān)鍵。
例如：
Mutual funds are thus best for investors who don't want to take the time to study stocks in detail or who ______ the resources to build a portfolio.
A. deprive B. lack
C. yearn D. attain

2形似詞
四個(gè)選項(xiàng)從詞形看很相似，但詞義有差別，有時(shí)是同根詞。如: receive，conceive，deceive，perceive;又如respectful，respectable，respective; considerable，considerate等。
例如：
The Attorney General ordered a federal autopsy of Brown's body, seeking to _______ the family and community there would be a thorough investigation into his death. (2016)

3同義詞、近義詞
四個(gè)選項(xiàng)詞義相近，要么有細(xì)微差別，要么用法搭配上不同。平時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)中多查閱英英詞典，多在語(yǔ)境下學(xué)習(xí)詞匯是解決該類(lèi)問(wèn)題的法寶。
例如：
The police department came under strong criticism for both the death of an unarmed man and its handling of the_______. (2016)

有時(shí)該類(lèi)型會(huì)以選擇劃線(xiàn)/斜體部分的含義的形式出現(xiàn)。如15年的題中出現(xiàn)了5個(gè)這樣的題目，分別考察了offset，mark，fertile，with good grace和giving out的含義。做此類(lèi)題一定要注意語(yǔ)境，讓句子不僅grammatically correct，還要semantically and logically correct。
4常用詞組
此類(lèi)題以大家非常熟悉的動(dòng)詞為主，如take，make，call，put，pull，bring，run，knock，lay, strike等。如2012年考察的put，14年考了break，15年call和lay，16年run和strike的詞組。
例如：
The economic crisis, they had to cut back production and _____ workers.

Two of her brothers were ______ during the Second World War.

鞏固詞組可分三步：一是以動(dòng)詞為主體整理;二是以介詞為主線(xiàn)，整理某介詞前加不同動(dòng)詞的意思;三是做題強(qiáng)化。當(dāng)然，工作量比較大，可以通過(guò)小組/宿舍合作的方式分擔(dān)完成，共享成果。
綜合近幾年的詞匯題可以發(fā)現(xiàn)，幾乎很少考察非常陌生、少用的詞匯。因此，考試當(dāng)前，大家不必花時(shí)間去記那些使用頻率不高的詞，而應(yīng)把熟悉的單詞的語(yǔ)義和用法掌握扎實(shí)，尤其是常見(jiàn)詞的不常見(jiàn)的意思，強(qiáng)烈建議大家使用朗文英英詞典。試試下面的小題，這個(gè)大家熟悉得不能再熟悉的單詞，你是不是掌握得很好呢?
