那年黛絲18歲，一個(gè)小姑娘。
Long long ago，there was a girl named Daisy. This story happened when she was 18 years old.
"黛絲，你終于長(zhǎng)大成人了�！�
"My Dear Daisy, you have grown up!"
"媽媽?zhuān)x謝你�！�
"Mum, thanks."
“孩子，我知道你要問(wèn)我那個(gè)問(wèn)題，我今天就告訴你答案。”
"I know, my child, you want to know the answer, and today I will tell you."
“如果您不想說(shuō)，媽媽?zhuān)退懔耍鋵?shí)，我已經(jīng)不在乎了�！�
"Mum, if you feel sad to talk about that, just forget it. In fact, I do not care about it anymore."
“可是，現(xiàn)在我不得不說(shuō)了，這是神的意旨�！摈旖z的母親說(shuō)，“你的父親是死神�！�

“高興？死神是最狠毒，最陰險(xiǎn)，最無(wú)情的神啊，我應(yīng)該高興？”
"Why? Why should I be proud of such a father--the most vicious, sinister and merciless god?"
"你誤解了你的父親，狠毒，陰險(xiǎn)，無(wú)情的不是他，而是煉獄中的一些人；他是引領(lǐng)我們通往天堂的神�！�
"You misunderstand your father. It is not he who is vicious, sinister and merciless, but some people in Purgatory. He is the god takes us to Heaven."
“不！他是個(gè)兇手，兇手。”
“No. He is a killer, a murderer!”
“兇手不是你父親，而是人。死不像你想的那么可怕，死，是通往天堂的鑰匙。”
“Your father, god of Death is not the killer, but men. And death is the key to Heaven, not as terrible as you think.”
“可是又有誰(shuí)愿意死呢？”
“But who would like to die? Nobody.”
“我啊，我愿意�！�
“I.”
“為什么?因?yàn)樗郎袷悄愕恼煞颍俊?/p>
“Why? You want to die because the god of Death is your husband?”
“不，因?yàn)椋朗峭ㄍ焯玫穆�。而且，我�?huì)死在我女兒懷里。你將是我的死神�！�
“No. I like death because Death is the key to Heaven. And I will die in the arms of my daughter. You will be my god of Death.”
“不，這不可能，不可能�！�
“Impossible!”
“你將接替你父親的位置，這是神的.意旨，否則，我會(huì)受到懲罰�！�
“You should take your father’s place—it is the decree of the God, or I will be punished.”
為了自己的母親，黛絲接替了父親的工作。
Daisy took her father’s job so that her mother would not be punished.
若干年后，黛絲的母親死在她的懷里。
Years later, Daisy’s mother died in her arms.
“謝謝，我的孩子。謝謝，黛絲。謝謝，死神。”
“Thanks, my child. Thanks, Daisy. Thanks, God of Death.”
