What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
這還叫什么生活，光是忙忙碌碌，
沒(méi)有停一停，看一看的時(shí)間。
No time to stand beneath the boughs,
And stare as long as sheep and cows.
沒(méi)有時(shí)間站在樹(shù)蔭下，
像牛羊那樣盡情瞻望。
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
沒(méi)有時(shí)間看到，在走過(guò)樹(shù)林時(shí)，
松鼠把殼果往草叢里收藏。
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars like skies at night.
沒(méi)有時(shí)間看到，在大好的'陽(yáng)光下，
溪流像夜空群星點(diǎn)點(diǎn)閃閃。
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
沒(méi)有時(shí)間注意到少女的流昐，
觀(guān)賞她雙足起舞蹁躚。
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
沒(méi)有時(shí)間等待她眉間的柔情，
展開(kāi)成唇的微笑。
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
這生活就一定貧乏，倘若光是忙碌，
沒(méi)有停一停，看一看的時(shí)間。
