GMAT語法what從句用法指導
GMAT的SC考題中經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)what從句，這是很多同學的痛點，帶有what從句的選項有時候對，有時候錯，基本沒有很強的猜題規(guī)律的，需要我們在具體題目當中去判斷。下面是小編整理的該如何去思考GMAT SC中的what從句，希望對大家有用，更多消息請關注應屆畢業(yè)生網(wǎng)。
其實what從句就是一個名詞性從句(看不懂這個術語的童鞋就忽略吧，并無大礙)，what我們稱之為關系代詞(看不懂的依然可以忽略)，既然是代詞，一定要有所指代的，所以我們在判斷what從句對還是不對，第一步就是找出what從句在句子當中語義上應該指代誰。
舉個栗子：
What you said is right這句話里面what就是指代你說的話，所以這句話完全等同于The word that you said is right. 大家注意到?jīng)]，后面的句子其實就是把what的指代對象the word直接給出了，然后加一個that(如果是人加who/whom)變成定語從句，這樣句子是不是好理解很多。
沒看懂??!!再來一個。
He is not what he was five years ago.還是一樣首先找出what在句子當中指代什么，然后加上that/whom，其他部分照抄，所以這句話等同于He is not the man whom he was five years ago。
好啦，咱們再來幾道真題：
The ancient Anasazi harvested such native desert vegetation as the purple-flowered bee plant, what they now commonly call wild spinach in northern Arizona and other parts of the southwestern United States.
A. what they now commonly call
B. a plant that they now commonly call
C. now commonly called
D. and is now commonly called
E. which it is now commonly called
這題當中A選項里面的what從句的what指代啥????想十秒。。。。
對!就是plant，所以A選項完全等同于a plant that they now commonly call，咦。。。。是不是就是B選項，所以秒排AB了，因為能選A就能選B，肯定都錯。(我就不仔細分析每個選項啦哈，這個專題只是幫助大家了解what從句而已)

這道題E選項里面也有what從句，而且是出現(xiàn)在比較從句當中，比較從句。。。。貌似又是很多人的痛，所以E選項算是痛得二次方了：)
這里的what根據(jù)語義判斷，應該指代sales of fund shares，所以E選項最后部分等于sales of fund that an industry trade group had previously estimated。這樣as low as前后比較是不是很平行!sales和sales比較，七月份的sales和之前所估計的sales比，所以是對的。

A. offer the most dramatic evidence yet discovered of the close evolutionary relationship between dinosaurs and birds

這一題B選項里面的what應該指代的是evidence,，所以than后面的what從句等于the evidence that has yet been discovered......這樣看than前后比較對象也很平行啊，evidence和evidence比啊，那為啥是錯的呢??!!!因為than后面的evidence前面應該加上一個other，比的時候要把自身排除出去，這里的比較級其實表達的是最高級的意思。

這道題DE里面都有what，但是注意what后面的動詞appear單復數(shù)不一樣，這明顯就是考察what的指代，然后決定后面的動詞形式，這里的what根據(jù)句意指代dinosaur，是單數(shù)名詞，所以應該用appears.
