目前旅游英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)教學(xué)的現(xiàn)狀旅游英語(yǔ)是高職高專旅游專業(yè)學(xué)生的必修課程，要求學(xué)生在掌握專業(yè)知識(shí)的基礎(chǔ)上，具備一定的英語(yǔ)聽說能力、表達(dá)能力及與人溝通的能力。但是，由于受傳統(tǒng)教學(xué)觀念的影響，中國(guó)的應(yīng)試教育模式已經(jīng)使我們的學(xué)生習(xí)慣了“啞巴英語(yǔ)”的學(xué)習(xí)方式�，F(xiàn)狀是：一部分學(xué)生不愿開口說；一部分學(xué)生不敢開口說；也有一部分學(xué)生不會(huì)開口說；真正主動(dòng)說英語(yǔ)者只有少數(shù)。在調(diào)查中發(fā)現(xiàn)，他們不主動(dòng)開口說英語(yǔ)主要是以下原因：
（1）怕說出來的英語(yǔ)有很多語(yǔ)法錯(cuò)誤；
�。�2）向來都不怎么主動(dòng)開口說，感覺開口很別扭；
�。�3）一開口就會(huì)緊張，就會(huì)想不出要用的詞或句式；
�。�4）基本上不知道該說什么或該怎么表達(dá)自己的想法。
另外，部分高職院校使用的是普通本科院校的教材，缺乏針對(duì)性強(qiáng)的旅游英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)教材，而且部分院校教材更換過于頻繁，教師疲于了解熟悉新教材，而無力把握教材講解和語(yǔ)言的實(shí)踐運(yùn)用的有效結(jié)合，這使得英語(yǔ)教學(xué)與實(shí)踐運(yùn)用脫節(jié)。而且，由于受到應(yīng)試教育體制的影響和片面就業(yè)觀的影響，教師在英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中普遍存在知識(shí)傳授比重較大，生搬硬套教材，上課滿堂灌，教學(xué)方法單一、枯燥，語(yǔ)言實(shí)踐不足的傾向。而部分學(xué)生只注重考試的卷面分?jǐn)?shù)，有的對(duì)英語(yǔ)根本不感興趣。加之，三年制的課程學(xué)習(xí)過程中許多學(xué)生不僅要顧及英語(yǔ)過級(jí)考試還要花大力氣在專業(yè)課程上，只得減少用于口語(yǔ)練習(xí)的時(shí)間，有的甚至放棄口語(yǔ)練習(xí)。目前旅游英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的現(xiàn)狀使得旅游專業(yè)的畢業(yè)生不能適應(yīng)旅游業(yè)的發(fā)展需求，無法滿足旅游業(yè)對(duì)高素質(zhì)旅游外語(yǔ)人才的需求。所以，如何切實(shí)提高旅游英語(yǔ)教學(xué)質(zhì)量顯得十分迫切。
改進(jìn)旅游英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)教學(xué)的探討樹立學(xué)生的.學(xué)習(xí)信心，激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣興趣是最好的老師，激發(fā)學(xué)生興趣要從第一節(jié)課開始。教學(xué)中，第一堂課非常關(guān)鍵。學(xué)生對(duì)第一堂課的印象往往會(huì)影響到他今后學(xué)習(xí)的信心和積極性。第一堂課主要是要鼓舞士氣，可以列舉一些通過努力自學(xué)克服英語(yǔ)障礙的成功范例，如李陽(yáng)、教師自身，以及以前教過的學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的經(jīng)歷等，證明只要有信心、肯努力就會(huì)有回報(bào)。李陽(yáng)“我的誓言”內(nèi)容激情洋溢，切中學(xué)生心理，能夠引發(fā)學(xué)習(xí)熱情，讓學(xué)生將該誓言抄在筆記本扉頁(yè)，在學(xué)習(xí)疲憊時(shí)激發(fā)斗志。另外，針對(duì)學(xué)生怕開口易緊張的實(shí)際情況，教師在教學(xué)中應(yīng)該注重與學(xué)生的情感交流來消除學(xué)生這些膽怯、緊張心理。前蘇聯(lián)著名教育家蘇霍姆林斯基認(rèn)為“：情緒的力量往往是構(gòu)成教學(xué)過程中最微妙最有意義的因素�！苯處熢谡n堂上創(chuàng)設(shè)一種積極而輕松的語(yǔ)言氛圍，能在很大程度上消除學(xué)生的緊張心理，增進(jìn)師生情感。在課堂上，教師要能抓住契機(jī)，及時(shí)地對(duì)學(xué)生的進(jìn)步給予充分的肯定，這對(duì)學(xué)生自信心的增強(qiáng)會(huì)起到有很大的效果。課后，教師可多與學(xué)生交流。比如，談?wù)剬W(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)尤其是旅游英語(yǔ)的心得、聊聊其他的話題，這些都能拉近師生距離、增進(jìn)師生情感，幫助學(xué)生輕松地面對(duì)教師，進(jìn)而輕松地面對(duì)教師所傳授的旅游英語(yǔ)知識(shí)和相關(guān)口語(yǔ)操練任務(wù)。
創(chuàng)設(shè)模擬的語(yǔ)言環(huán)境，使課堂教學(xué)更真實(shí)化Richards和Rodgers（1986）曾提出，只有讓學(xué)生使用對(duì)他們有意義的語(yǔ)言去完成真實(shí)交流的語(yǔ)用任務(wù)，才能促進(jìn)其語(yǔ)言的學(xué)習(xí)。因此，在旅游英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)教學(xué)中，教師也要為學(xué)生創(chuàng)造真實(shí)（authentic）語(yǔ)言環(huán)境，幫助學(xué)生把旅游英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)帶到工作情景中，使該課程的教學(xué)更加真實(shí)化。教師可以利用多媒體提供背景畫面，或利用桌、椅、杯子、書等教室里一切實(shí)際存在的物品，為學(xué)生創(chuàng)造一個(gè)模擬賓館、模擬餐廳、模擬景點(diǎn)，模擬機(jī)場(chǎng)等情境，使學(xué)生猶如身臨其境。
