A baseball team consists of nine players. Actually, a team consists of more than twenty players but only nine players are allowed on the field at one time.
一個棒球隊由9名隊員組成.實際上一個隊可以有20多名隊員.但只能有9名隊員上場.
露西:
How many substitutes are allowed?
允許有幾名替補隊員?
瑪麗:
There is an unlimited number of substitutes. But substituted players cannot reenter the game.
替補隊員沒有數(shù)量限制.但是替補隊員不能第二次上場參加比賽.

Where do the pitcher and the hitter stand?
投手和擊球手站在何處?
瑪麗:
The pitcher stands on the pitcher`s mound. The hitter stands at the home plate.
投手站在投手區(qū)的平臺上.擊球員站在本壘板旁邊.

How is a run scored?
怎樣才能跑壘得分?
瑪麗:
A run is scored when a player makes his way round all of the bases and back to home without being put out.
當一名隊員跑完全部壘.返回本壘而未被判出局即得分.
露西:
