Every afternoon, as they were coming from school, the children used to go and play in the Giant's garden.

It was a large lovely garden, with soft green grass. Here and there over the grass stood beautiful flowers like stars, and there were twelve peach-trees that in the spring-time broke out into delicate blossoms of pink and pearl, and in the autumn bore rich fruit. The birds sat on the trees and sang so sweetly that the children used to stop their games in order to listen to them. "How happy we are here!" they cried to each other.

One day the Giant came back. 1-1e had been to visit his friend the Cornish ogre, and had stayed with him for seven years. After the seven years were over he had said all that he had to say, for his conversation was limited, and he determined to return to his own castle.When he arrived he saw the children playing in the garden.

"What are you doing here?" he cried in a very gruff voice, and the children ran away.

He was a very selfish Giant.
他是一個(gè)非常自私的巨人。
The poor children had now nowhere to play. They tried to play on the road, but the road was very dusty and full of hard stones, and they did not like it. They used to wander round the high wall when their lessons were over, and talk about the beautiful garden inside. "How happy we were there," they said to each other.

Then the Spring came, and all over the country there were little blossoms and little birds. Only in the garden of the selfish Giant it was still winter. The birds did not care to sing in it as there were no children, and the trees forgot to blossom. Once a beautiful flower put its head out from the grass, but when it saw the notice-board it was so sorry for the children that it slipped back into the ground again, and went off to sleep. The only people who were pleased were the Snow and the Frost. "Spring has forgotten this garden," they cried, "so we will live here all the year round." The Snow covered up the grass with her great white cloak, and the Frost painted all the trees silver. Then they invited the North Wind to stay with them, and he came. He was wrapped in furs, and he roared all day about the garden, and blew the chimney-pots down. "This is a delightful spot," he said, "we must ask the Hail on a visit." So the Hail came. Every day for three hours he rattled on the roof of the castle till he broke most of the slates, and then he ran round and round the garden as fast as he could go.He was dressed in grey, and his breath was like ice.

I cannot understand why the Spring is so late in coming," said the selfish Giant,as he sat at the window and looked out at his cold white garden; "I hope there will be a change in the weather."

But the Spring never came, nor the Summer. The Autumn gave golden fruit to every garden, but to the Giant's garden she gave none. "He is too selfish," she said. So it was always Winter there, and the North Wind, and the Hail, and the Frost, and the Snow danced about through the trees.

自私的巨人中班教案
活動(dòng)目標(biāo):
1、能夠理解圖畫內(nèi)容,知道圓圈部分表示的是巨人的想法。
2、能夠根據(jù)各種線索進(jìn)行合理推測(cè)和想象。
3、理解巨人的行為雖然給人們帶來(lái)了不少的麻煩,但他并不是故意這樣做的。
活動(dòng)準(zhǔn)備:
大書、硬紙板建成的大腳印。
教學(xué)過(guò)程:
一、活動(dòng)導(dǎo)入:激發(fā)幼兒的閱讀興趣。
教師:(教師出示用硬紙殼做出來(lái)的大腳板)小朋友看老師給你們帶來(lái)什么了呀?(腳印)請(qǐng)一幼兒用自己的腳和大腳板比一比,來(lái)感知大腳板的巨大。
他呀是一個(gè)巨人的腳印,它長(zhǎng)的特別的巨大,有十層樓那么高。他的力氣好大好大,只要用手輕輕一抓一棵樹,樹就成了他的拐杖,隨便打一個(gè)噴嚏就像下了一場(chǎng)大雨。他的腳走一步,就能從我們這兒到幼兒園門口了,他低頭看到我們的樓房都好像他的玩具一樣小。今天我就帶來(lái)一本關(guān)于巨人的讀本我們一起來(lái)分享。
二、大書閱讀
1、封面閱讀:(引導(dǎo)幼兒觀察主要人物等有效信息,總結(jié)并引出讀本內(nèi)容。)
封面上有誰(shuí)?你怎么知道他是巨人的?(引導(dǎo)幼兒對(duì)比巨人與房子來(lái)感知巨人的大)。巨人要去什么地方?他去哪兒干什么?(引出小城鎮(zhèn))好,我們跟著他的腳步去看看他到小鎮(zhèn)去干什么,小鎮(zhèn)的人們歡迎他嗎?
2、內(nèi)容閱讀(遮蓋巨人想法的圖畫部分)
、俚2頁(yè):巨人來(lái)到城鎮(zhèn)的哪里啦?(郊外的一個(gè)水塘邊)在干什么?(用手捧水喝)。小鎮(zhèn)上的人們看到他是什么表情?(驚訝、好奇)
、诘3頁(yè):他來(lái)到小鎮(zhèn)的哪里呀?他在干什么?他的表情是怎樣的?他要這個(gè)時(shí)鐘干什么呀?鎮(zhèn)上的人們看到他們是什么反應(yīng)呀?
、鄣4頁(yè):他來(lái)到小鎮(zhèn)的哪里呀?他在干什么?他的表情是怎樣的?他要這個(gè)柵欄干什么呀?鎮(zhèn)上的人們看到他們是什么反應(yīng)呀?
、艿5頁(yè):他來(lái)到小鎮(zhèn)的哪里呀?他在干什么?他的表情是怎樣的?他要這個(gè)海報(bào)干什么呀?鎮(zhèn)上的人們看到他們是什么反應(yīng)呀?人們開始喊叫了,巨人聽到了嗎?

、叩7頁(yè):人們叫巨人“快走開”。巨人什么表情?(難過(guò)),)他為什么難過(guò)呀?(啟發(fā)幼兒說(shuō)說(shuō),這會(huì)兒明白他這樣做給大家?guī)?lái)了麻煩),他真是要搞破壞嗎?他到底需要什么呢?
3、再次閱讀:揭開遮蓋的部分,說(shuō)說(shuō)巨人都需要些什么?
、俚2—6頁(yè):我們?cè)俅伍喿x一遍,(引導(dǎo)幼兒觀察巨人頭頂上的圓圈圈)告知幼兒這些表示的是巨人腦袋里面的事情。看看他到底需要什么呢?(教師逐頁(yè)揭開遮蓋部分)
、趲熡滓黄鹦〗Y(jié):原來(lái)他把房子上的時(shí)鐘弄下來(lái)是需要一塊手表;把人家院子里的柵欄弄斷是需要一把梳子;把墻上的海報(bào)撕下來(lái)是需要一本書;把人家的屋頂拿下來(lái)是需要一頂帽子。
③師幼探討:巨人做了那么多壞事,大家都不喜歡他!巨人是故意想要搞破壞的嗎?(幼兒可以探討。教師參與探討。引導(dǎo)幼兒感知巨人不是故意的。)在他感受傷心、難過(guò)的時(shí)候,他最需要的是什么呢?(引導(dǎo)幼兒知道需要一個(gè)告知他的朋友),他會(huì)有朋友嗎?
、艿8頁(yè):誰(shuí)在巨人的手上,巨人的表情是什么樣的?小女孩的表情是什么樣的?他們會(huì)成為朋友嗎?
、菰瓉(lái)巨人需要一個(gè)朋友!
