定語(yǔ)從句
在復(fù)合句中，用作定語(yǔ)的'從句叫定語(yǔ)從句。被定語(yǔ)從句修飾的名詞或代詞叫先行詞。定語(yǔ)從句一般放在先行詞的后面，由關(guān)系代詞或關(guān)系副詞引導(dǎo)。下面我們結(jié)合例句來(lái)復(fù)習(xí)一下初中學(xué)過(guò)的由that, which, who和whom引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句。
1. 關(guān)系代詞that引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句，that在從句中作主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ)，可以指人，也可以指物。如：
The letter that came this morning is from my father. (作主語(yǔ)，指物)
Here are the books that I borrowed from you a week ago. (作賓語(yǔ)，指物)
The woman that spoke to me in the shop used to live next door. (作主語(yǔ)，指人)
The person that I have to phone lives inIndia. (作賓語(yǔ)，指人)
2. 關(guān)系代詞which引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句，which在從句中作主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ)，只可以指物。如：
Take the book which is lying on the table. (作主語(yǔ)，指物)
It's a story which every child will enjoy. (作賓語(yǔ)，指物)
3. 關(guān)系代詞who和whom引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句。who和whom只可以指人，who在從句中作主語(yǔ), whom在從句中作賓語(yǔ)，在口語(yǔ)中常用who代替whom。如：
Those students who failed the exam will have to take it again. (作主語(yǔ)，指人)
The girl who / whom I spoke to was a student. (作賓語(yǔ)，指人)
賓語(yǔ)從句
在復(fù)合句中，用作賓語(yǔ)的從句叫賓語(yǔ)從句。引導(dǎo)賓語(yǔ)從句的詞有： that, whether, if, who, whose, what, which, when, where, how, why等。如：
She said that the book was based on a true story.
No one knows exactly what happened.
I don't know when I'll see her again.
注意：賓語(yǔ)從句既可跟在及物動(dòng)詞后面，也可跟在介詞后。如：
Show me what you have bought.
She was shocked by what she has seen.
