一、教材分析
本模塊的話題是發(fā)出慶祝生日活動的邀請。本單元的課文情境是Amy發(fā)給Lingling的生日邀請函,她要過11歲的生日了。Lingling問Amy打算如何慶祝,Amy說要和大家一起吃午餐,媽媽會給她做蛋糕。Sam說午餐后大家會一起講故事,Amy接著說隨后會去看電影。這時Ms Smart提醒孩子們在做這些事情之前要先幫她整理屋子,孩子們愉快的答應(yīng)了。語言學習任務(wù)是運用已經(jīng)學過的“I’m going to…”結(jié)構(gòu)描述計劃并發(fā)出邀請。
二、學情分析
五年級學生的年齡在十一到十二歲左右,雖然處于高年級學段,但仍然活潑好動,喜歡直觀形象思維和抽象思維相結(jié)合,對游戲、競賽、畫畫還有興趣。大部分學生對英語有著較濃厚的學習興趣,但也有少數(shù)學生由于遇到困難,學習興趣會隨之減弱。尤其從這學期開始,對學生又提出了新的要求:培養(yǎng)聽、說、讀、寫的技能。所以教師應(yīng)該面向全體學生,以學生的發(fā)展為宗旨,始終把激發(fā)學生的學習興趣放在首位,引導學生端正學習態(tài)度,掌握良好的學習方法,培養(yǎng)學生良好的學習習慣。五年級學生還存在著學習方法和學習策略經(jīng)驗不足等問題,但他們卻有著極強的.求知欲強和表現(xiàn)欲。課上應(yīng)該多以表揚為主,注重對學生英語學習興趣的培養(yǎng),鼓勵他們大膽說、積極做、認真想。
三、 教學目標
1. 知識目標
(1) 學生能夠掌握四會單詞和句型結(jié)構(gòu)。
New words: stories、 invitation、tidy up
Sentence structures: What are we going to do?
We’re going to tell stories.
(2) 根據(jù)圖片和情境說出單詞和句子。
(3) 在圖文或場景下進行課文的復述或者相似內(nèi)容的閱讀。
2、能力目標
(1)在生活中正確運用英語慶祝生日。
(2)學生能描述將要發(fā)生的事情并與別人談?wù)、制作活動計劃表?/p>
3、情感目標:
培養(yǎng)學生能夠按時整理自己的房間及物品的好習慣。
培養(yǎng)學生在做每件事之前要學會制定計劃的良好習慣。
四、 教學重點
運用“What are we going to do? We’re going to …”描述將要的做的事情,學會制定計劃。
五、 教學難點
學生能描述將要發(fā)生的事情并與別人談?wù)、問答,表達自己的想法。

Step1 Warming up

設(shè)計意圖:復習”be going to”結(jié)構(gòu)的各個人稱。
Step2 Lead-in
T: This weekend, I’m going to read a story book. I’m going to tell stories.
(Teach “story--- stories”)
T: Do you like stories?
T: Today, Let’s learn the new lesson: Module 4 Unit 1 We’re going to tell stories.

11 years ago, a beautiful girl was born in England. These are her family. Her parents: Ms. Smart and Mr. Smart. Her brothers: Sam and Tom. Who is she?
T: Yes! She is Amy.
T: Her birthday is coming. She’s going to be 11.
設(shè)計意圖:通過游戲猜故事的名字激發(fā)學生興趣,引出課題,理解“tell stories”的同時,自然引出課文內(nèi)容。
Step3 Presentation
T: I’ve got an invitation from Amy. She’s going to have a birthday party.
Do you want to go with me?
T: Who can read “invitation”, I’ll give it to you.
學習操練“invitation”:
全班,小組,分音節(jié)讀in-vi-ta-tion,個人,讀對獲得請?zhí)?/p>
將詞放入句子中,詞——句子——長句:
Invitation——It’s an invitation——It’s an invitation for birthday party.
T: Wonderful! All of you can go with me! Let’s go!
設(shè)計意圖:通過多種方式操練單詞“Invitation”,突破難點,由詞到句,在語境中操練理解詞匯。

設(shè)計意圖:看圖造句,對一般將來時“be going to”結(jié)構(gòu)進行鞏固操練。
2. Grammar.
be going to+動詞原形
I用am, you用are,
is 用于她他它,單數(shù)is,復數(shù)are。
設(shè)計意圖:通過對課文知識點的進一步分析,歸納“be going to”的用法。
3. Make a plan.
Discussion:

Make a plan:
Picnic Plan

Write a plan:
There are three themes: Picnic, Party, Sports Day.
Four students a group, choose one theme and write your plan.
設(shè)計意圖:以小組為單位制定一個計劃,先討論,再寫下來,提高學生口語表達能力的同時,訓練書面表達能力。

T: Make a plan before you do it! (做每件事之前要學會制定計劃)
