2015年12月大學(xué)英語四級作文真題及范文

Directions: For this part, you are allowed30 minutes to write an essay on the saying “Never go out there to see whathappens, go out there to make something happen.” You can cite examples toillustrate the importance of being participants rather than mere onlookers inlife. You should write at least 120 words, no more than 180 words.

  A

The Importance of Being Participants inLife

Nowadays it is common to encounter a scene when people want to seethings happen but can’t make things happen for various kinds of reasons.Sometimes, they just refuse to be the change in the world.

As far as I am concerned, we should all havethe notion of being the participant in our life. For instance, one can’thave a healthy body by merely watching others take regular exercises. He muststrengthen his body through his own efforts. Another case is that when peopleintend to acquire new skills, such as public speaking skill, they need to catchevery opportunity to speak in the public so that they can achieve success.Furthermore, there are changes we want to see in the world, likeprotecting the environment effectively, and the only way tomake a difference is that each of us should be a contributing participant.

In conclusion, let’s go out there to make things happen, just as thesaying goes:“Be the change you want to see in the world.”

  B

As a famous saying goes,“Never go out there to see what happens, go out there tomake something happen.” Simple a sthe saying is, its meaning isprofound and thought-provoking, which is meant to tell us that we are supposed to be creativeinstead of acting as the onlooker.

Conspicuousare the impacts of being creative and I would like toexplore the followingaspects. To begin with, it is to leading a team to make constant progress what water is tofish, which can be best illustrated by an example concerning anextraordinary basketball player, Yao Ming. Moreover, this kindof innovation also makes it possible for a nation to promote its international statusand improve the comprehensive competitiveness.

Frommy perspective, keeping creative is so essential that adequate importance must be attachedto it. Only when we literally realize the key role it plays can we becomebetter selves in the foreseeable future.

Directions: For this part, you are allowed30 minutes to write an essay on the saying “Listening is more important thantalking.” You can cite examples to illustrate the importance of listening. Youshould write at least 120 words, no more than 180 words.

Listening Is More Important Than Talking

  A

As researchshows, 70% to 80% of our lifetime is spent on certain kinds ofcommunication, such as writing, speaking and listening. Among these, listening isactually the most important technique.

Then why is it that listening is more important than talking? Firstly, when wemake acquaintance of someone, listening helps us understand others better and thus winningfriendship. Secondly, knowing the art of listening can facilitate communication and avoidconflict with people on intimate terms, such as our parentsand spouse. Last but not least, if we obey the principle of listening in the workplace, we are morelikely to do the right thing and avoid detours.

Therefore, it is safe to say that listening from the bottom of our hearts canbring us a lot of benefits. I would like to quote the legend John Rockefeller‘s words, which I can’t agree more, to end myessay:“A little practice in listening can produce amazing results.”

  B

As we all known, talking and listening are commonly used in communication, but how can you talkwithout listening to others? Good conversation skills include much more thansimply talking to others, listening is also a necessary quality of a successfulperson.

I firmly believethat listening is of greater significance than talking. For one thing, If youcan not listen correctly, you can not talk properly. Just imagine a world whereeveryone keep talking but nobody listening, it's useless to say anything then. For another, if you want to make achievement in social settings, relationshipsand business, one way to ensure your success is to be a great listener.

Therefore, inorder to enhance our conversation skills, here are a few simple rules we canfollow to help us become a better listener, such as stopping talking endlessly, giving your full attention to the speaker and making an effort to shift thefocus of the conversation to the other person. All in all, nothing can insteadof listening! (169 words)

Directions: For this part, you are allowed30 minutes to write an essay on the saying “Learning is a daily experience anda lifetime mission.” You can cite examples to illustrate the importance oflifelong learning. You should write at least 120 words, no more than 180 words.

  A

Learning is adaily experience and a lifetime mission

Recently, what has become a heated social topic is lifelong learning. Viewson that vary from person to person, while I thinklearning needs continuous accumulation after we have recognized the uncoveredmeaning of learning.

First of all, what is learning? It is revealed as a process of gaining knowledge in the dictionary; actually, thisprocess is acknowledged as acquiring academic knowledge, practicalliving skills as well as life experience by me. However, in practice, we havenever failed to absorb enormous knowledge everyda which, to someextent, is beyond our comprehension。 That is to say, digestingthose knowledge as well as making the best use of it will undoubtedly take sometime. Therefore, lifelong learning consists of daily progress. Moreover, it keeps usrefreshing and enrich our mind as time passes by.

From what has been mentioned above, learning isundeniably a lifetime mission which demands daily accumulation and is of greatimportance.

  B

Itis widely accepted that to live and learn is a creed of many centuries. Even incontemporary society, life –long learning still carries great importance topersonal happiness.

Tobegin with, hardly can anyone achieve genuine success in his career without learning. As competition in all lines of work grows increasingly fierce, we must defeatour rivals through learning. Furthermore, according to a latest survey conductedby an authority on the Internet, 95 percent of people interviewed answered thatindividual happiness and success can not exist without life-long learning. Inaddition, an increasing number of people come to realize the value ofpersistent learning. A case in point is those aged citizens having been retriedfrom work, who seek to learn Chinese drawing, calligraphy and Peking drama, sothat their life after retirement can be meaningful, full of colors.

Taking into account the analysis above, we can safely draw a conclusionthat where there is leaning, there is life-long happiness.
